The use of space and configuration of adjoining bedroom and shared kitchen and bathroom worked beautifully . Having double sinks was a plus. Hosing off sandy feet by sliding doors would have been great, But it really wasn’t too out of the way to go around to the cute hose area with benches .

On the beach

Large apartment setting with washer and dryer in the huge bathroom. Only negative is no elevator, but the steps have a low rise and the landings have chairs for those who need them.

Pros: Very Clean!
Cons: Insulation in the walls and floors.
Location: Great location. In the middle of Poipu and Princeville. Kapaa Town and Lihui have lots to see and do. The food choices are great close by the property
It was a nice place to stay. We did request to be on the top floor but the request was denied. We had two nights of quiet and then the elephant family occupied the roon above us and there was noise from morning to night. They walked like they had lead boots on and talked very loud. They also took showers at all hours of the night. The walls are very thin. One bad aspec of the property.

nice place and close to beach.

Pros: Everything.
Cons: Sound proofing between flours.
Location: It was great.
We had a wonderful time. Would go back again for sure.

Great Hotel

Pros: Close restaurants, Free Internet, Quiet
My wife and I stayed in this hotel from 4/21 through 4/28. It was very quiet and clean and far from the maddening crowd. It was great to have a microwave, refrig / freezer, and plates / bowls / silverware so we could reduce costs by cooking some ourselves. There are also outside barbecues, but we did not use them. I'll stay there again if I ever get back to Kauai.

excellent staff and service

Kauai coast resort was a great value for the money we spent.The staff and service was excellant. This was our first trip to kauai but not our last. The room was clean and the things that the hotel offered were great. The pool at the hotel was clean and the water was right, it was nice to get out of the salt water for a few days. The hotel is right on the water we had a garden view room and the view was great.The only downside to some might be that there is no elevator and the beach at the hotel they don't advise swimming at, to many rocks and rough water, but there are beaches within five minute drive of hotel. All in all I would recommend this hotel to a friend and when we go back we will stay there again! Aloha!

Very convenient location

Pros: Close restaurants, Quiet
No chickens! If you want to avoid the heavily crowded areas around Poipu and Princeville, the Coconut Coast where Kauai Coast Resort is located is a great choice - and we saw no chickens at the resort!! The Coconut Coast is situated between the areas I just mentioned and provides great access to all areas of the island. The beach at the hotel is a great walking beach but is rockier and had heavier surf when we were there in mid-May. Be sure to check out Brick Oven Pizza in Kapaa - best pizza we have ever eaten! Also, the Coconut Marketplace is right across from the resort and has several eating options for when you are too tired to get into the car again.
