The unit opens on a spacious screened lanai where you can relax and enjoy your meal.
Rates shown are for two guests , we charge additional $25 per person (after 2 persons) per night.
Close to main highway 130 and East Hawaii's many points of interest, activities and attractions.

Bungalow Attached to main house. Mike was very personable and helpful recommending restaurants and things to do in the area. Thought of everything you’d need. Offered beach chairs, cooler, beach towels etc. would stay there again.

Close to everything
Perfect spot for the 3 of us (wife, me, 17 yo) - 2 beds, 1 bath, secure efficiency apt in a private house. Mike made it easy, everything you want is right there, down to the abundant lilikoi and abiu right outside your door. Close to Pahoa (10 mins), Hilo (20 mins), and easy drive to Volcano and elsewhere. Mike is great to talk to and will stay out of your way when not needed. Great recommendations for places to visit and eat from Mike and his family. Great price for Christmas week as well! They have beach towels, beach chairs, snorkel gear, and more for you to use if you want. Nice and quiet too (except for the rooster and the occasional chicken wars happening in the neighbor's yard). Highly recommend if you're staying on the Hilo side!

This property is a converted garage that is attached to the owner's home - they live in the home with you. This is not a private home. There are many communal areas that they use for storage and everyday use - such as campaign posters. Not really a private place.

The location is easy to find, our host was gracious and full of good stories; however, it was only man-clean. I'm sure it is very clean when Joy is there, but she was away.

Perfect for exploring the volcano and Hilo area. My husband could even have a cigar out back on the relaxing patio after our daily adventure . Mike was friendly and very informative. Highly recommend.

Absolutely charming!
The place is a cozy bohemian place. So much character and charm, two bathrooms, laundry facilities, nice beds, plenty of kitchen supplies, and a coffee maker. Michael is an excellent host! He’s super friendly and welcoming, and happy to talk about the island and give you recommendations. The location may be a little remote for some but honestly, you’re gonna have to drive anywhere you want to go. So if you want a comfortable place with charm in a peaceful location, this is a superb spot. And again, Michael is a gem!
