Facility was clean and conveniently located. Breakfast had a good section of food but juice machine was broken and no effort was made to provide juice. The only other negative was that the bed was too hard and the pillows too thick keeping my neck at an uncomfortable angle.

On arrival we had to walk through the smoke of 3 staff member standing at the front entrance smoking and having a discussion about their fellow colleagues- not a friendly discussion. Breakfast room floor was not cleaned in the 2 days that we stayed there . Hotel carpets are old worn and dirty. Bedroom smelled of damp. Bed was comfortable and clean as was the bathroom. Staff were quick to assist when the coffee machine and tv did not work.

We were quite impressed by the cleanliness. The breakfast was good. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. It is also a very quiet place. My husband and I would stay again and would recommend it to others.

Staff was friendly, the room was clean and quiet. The breakfast area was a bit small. Overall, it was a good value and I'd stay again.

Nice location, room, breakfast and price!

Pros: Convenient location, air-conditioned room with breakfast included, and reasonable rates.
Cons: Maybe air freshener in the hallway.
Location: Harper's Ferry National Historical Park, Antietam Battlefield.
We stayed here when we visited Harper's Ferry Historical Park, and the hotel was very close to the grounds, and easy to find. The room was clean and comfortable, with lots of tv channels, and a good breakfast. The staff at the desk were very friendly and helpful when answering our questions about directions and finding nearby places to eat. We were quite pleased with our overnight stay here, and left feeling good about the place and price.

This place is cleaning up their act!

We stayed on the first two nights of vacation this past September 2008. They have a new manager and he is working very hard to clean up the place. I am a picky traveler. We have 3 children and another on the way. They gave us ground floor without even having to ask. The room was clean, the bathroom was clean. The only problem we had was that the porta crib was broken. Last people broke it and never let them know. It was ok cause we had one for another hotel that did not have one. The staff felt aweful about it. They also just gave us a roll away. The 3 year old didn't want to sleep with the 11 year old. The breakfast was very good. The kids were happy and that's all that matters. The breakfast nook is small, but it just makes you talk to people which is never bad. The entrance is on the side and you could miss it. On our second day a couple of the cleaning staff never bothered to call in and the manager jumped righ tin and cleaned 30 rooms to make sure everything was perfect for his guests. I would stay here again. It was a great start to a great vacation. Also they give a discount to Military and their family.

Hammers in the Morning

The mountain view was a joke-out over the highway. The grout in the bathroom is a biology experiment. They were doing construction on the room across the hall from early am.

sticky

The doorknobs, edges of doors, and the bathroom floor had not been cleaned. They were sticky, dull, and had hairs in the corners. I felt like washing my hands constantly. "
