The hotel is nice but bathrooms and beds are very outdated. We complained our bed was too hard and we were told there is nothing they could do. Breakfast was okay, but they need to add more options for people with special dietary needs.

Clean, comfortable but no air conditioning
This is a nice hotel in a nice part of CDMX. But it is an older property with no air-conditioning. I was there on a hot day and it was mildly uncomfortable the first night but fine the next two. It is exceptionally clean and the rooms are quite large. I would probably stay here again. The wifi was super fast and the personnel were all lovely. There is stain glass all over the place and it adds a magical quality to this location. It's an interesting hotel.

Excellent location, but old fashioned
The location in Polanco cannot be beat. It is obvious that this is a very old and quite traditional hotel from Mexico City. Although things seem to have been updated in the late '80s or '90s, everything sort of looks and feels tired. The lack of hot water on any day in the shower is an issue that they really should address. Even though the temperatures while we were there were in the high 80s and 90s, a freezing cold shower first thing in the morning is not desirable. Also, the lack of any ventilation in my room. Windows only opened to the inner enclosed courtyard. No ceiling fan or floor fan. They provide breakfast which has quite a variety of items, and a really good coffee maker! This was appreciated. Although, as a casual Traveler who does not speak Spanish, the communication was very difficult.

Great place to stay
My girlfriend and I stayed for 3 nights, and we loved it. Location was great for our needs, the hotel is very clean, bed very comfortable, the breakfast is excellent, and there is a coffee machine in the lobby that is available 24 hours (hot water for teas as well). The concierge gave us a fantastic recommendation to get local tacos nearby our first night (El Rey del Suadero) and we enjoyed the food so much. Would definitely stay here again next time in CDMX!
