My husband and I loved our stay here! Stayed 10/11/19-10/19/19 after adding on an additional day upon arrival with no issue. Beautiful grounds, friendly staff. Previous comments I read was that the property was outdated, but we were completely comfortable and felt the furnishings provided a beachy feel, so we did not mind the décor. Though we had sufficient ventilation, the property is NOT air conditioned, but our unit had a couple small fans that we utilized. Having a full kitchen and dining space was so much better than staying in a hotel. We did not visit the fitness center/pool across the street as it was just not convenient for us. However the beach was easily accessible and beautiful. We had family staying at the property next door which was very convenient to walk to from this property. We were in bldg 8, unit 43. We would recommend this property and book again.

Having an ocean view was wonderful. Amenities are top notch. Pool and Happy Hours were fun. Everyone was friendly. Rooms were super nice. We enjoyed the daily, free activities offered. Bartenders at Lava's were attentive.

Grand Hyatt Kauai is my happy place! I believe this was our fourth or fifth stay at the hotel, so we have had opportunity to see changes over time. While the visitors to the hotel this time seemed lacking in class (leaving pool towels and coffee cups in the hallways), the staff remained of the highest quality. There were some renovations being done on one side but this did not impact our enjoyment of the hotel and the lovely grounds. The food at the restaurants and the terraces was excellent and, again, service was excellent. Front lobby staff, housekeeping staff, and valet staff all were gracious and accommodating and provided their services with aloha. Thank you all for another wonderful stay!

Only one issue with the property. The a/c stopped working around midnight even though the thermostat was active and receiving my inputs. It was one uncomfortable night but the next day it was fixed and we had an excellent vacation.
