We booked our honeymoon through Travelocity in June for our September wedding, upon arrival, first noticed the pool was fenced off, which is the main focus when you walk in the lobby. The clerk said it was posted online that is was closed for remodel for the month, we must have missed that important fact. So, then we are put in a ocean view room, as requested, but overlooking the said empty pool with 30 workers in it all day everyday hammering and sawing, scraping, dragging, all of it, and up until dark. So when questioned, nothing was offered to move to a room looking over the other pool, next door, or a discount, or a refund. So honeymooned with a bunch of construction guys is literally how it went down till the day before we left and then pool opened without the bar.

We have stayed at this resort many times and each time we leave, we can’t wait to come back. The property is beautiful on the perfect white sand beach and the staff is always so friendly. I would recommend this hotel to everyone

The restaurants on site were excellent! Our room was cleaned and towels restocked daily. The beds and pillows were super comfortable. And the staff was above and beyond inviting!

Booked on Travelocity, was told I was given an upgrade to an "Ocean-view room" at check-in. Was actually assigned an "obstructed view" room (#803) which was next to the elevators and had a loud constant machinery noise. I asked for a room change, and despite the fact that the hotel was fairly empty, was downgraded back to an island-view room (#762) which overlooked the roof and HVAC of the Ritz-Carlton casino next door. The constant loud noise from the HVAC system made my balcony essentially unusable and required me to keep the balcony doors shut at all times. The staff around the beach, pool, and fitness center, however, were exceptional. They were friendly and helpful, and I feel they made up for the shabby treatment we received at check-in. There was nothing exceptional about this hotel's amenities, and I would probably try another property on my next trip to Aruba.
