When we stayed at this hotel 2 years ago it was efficiently ran. Now things are missing from the room such as the phone and hair dryer. I tried asking for a toilet plunger because our toilet was plugged and no one was able to locate one. We were unable to use the pool or hot tub because the filter cracked and needed replacement, I understand this inconvenience however when paired with the other inconveniences it really was a drastically different experience than our stay two years ago. We will not be returning.

The staff was very friendly and helpful however,the elevator needs attention,the room had a very unpleasant smell,no remote for the tv,the window in the room had a metal screen in the glass and could not be opened.This room was mostly paid for by Hotels.com from earned points so I believe we got there least desirable room.This has happened before when using points.

Run down overpriced motel 6 with a view. Sofa bed was literally just springs and a thin layer of cloth. Worst "bed" and I use that term loosely, we've ever seen as something for a paying guest to sleep on. Prisons probably have more comfortable beds. My son would rather sleep on their dog hair ridden floor. In room 316 king room with a sofa bed, you get the added bonus of hearing the exhaust fans from the downstairs restaurant instead of the ocean. Staff checked me into the wrong room. The whole check in process and changing rooms took an hour and half. View is great and that's literally it! I will never stay here again even if they remodel. It's robbery they charge what they do for this dump. ZERO ⭐ for Room

First, let me say that we are pretty regular visitors to this particular Shiloh. It’s in a great location and the better rooms have a great view of the ocean, beach, and promenade. Many bars, restaurants, and shops are within easy walking distance, even in the cold weather. But, unfortunately, the property is not being maintained or run well at all right now. Check-in was great — easy and quick — but, we hater found out much information was not given at that time. For example, there is no housekeeping provided unless requested. As we were only there two nights, it wasn’t a huge issue, but we didn’t know and therefore didn’t get more coffee packets, extra towels, or a blanket that we requested. Our room had several issues — the door to the balcony was very difficult to open and the lock was broken. The dishwasher was full of dirty dishes when we anrrived, including all the glasses and cups, and there was no dishwashing detergent so we could run it ourselves. There were no kitchen towels so we did dishes with bathroom hand towels, further depleting the towel supply that was never replenished. The refrigerator worked great, but it sounded like a washing machine stuck on the spin cycle all night long. The building itself was also in need of serious maintenance. Only one elevator worked, and even that one was bouncy and jerky. The hot tub and the steam room were both out of order. Overall, we were disappointed with this visit. Hoping things improve before we return.

I did not like or appreciate that the hot tub is not available. They should let people know that the hot tub is not available!! The whole reason I booked at the Shilo by the sea was to see the sea we were given a room with no view! And no hot tub on a valentines getaway is a total bummer and I feel taken advantage of and scammed. I will not be staying here again nor recommending this place to my friends and family.
