Check in was quick and pleasant. I was asked if I had a preference for ground floor or 2nd floor. When I said "upper floor" I was also informed that they did not have elevator service (which is fine with me). Upon arrival to our room we found it to be clean and the type we requested. Two double beds with one soft and one firm so you can choose what you like. Bathroom is quite small and the tub/shower is only about 2 feet wide from wall to shower but the shower head was at a comfortable height for my 6 foot frame. HVAC unit is noisy. Breakfast selection was sparse.

I felt like it was a great value, in a nice location. Wouldn't know it's all older hotel because of the many upgrades.

Disappointed

Pros: Nothing
After a long day and just ready to relax very disappointed by staff, service and cleanliness of hotel. As we entered our room it had an odor that was unpleasant, but figured we would deal with it. After unloading and getting ready to relax and go to bed, pulled back the blankets to crawl in and noticed hairs on the sheets. Went to the desk, that was attended by the owner and told him of the hairs on the sheets and he said he wanted to see. He followed me to the room and I showed him and he simply "plucked" them off and said sometimes they just don't come out of the sheets. Uhg, really!!!! I told him that was gross and he asked if we wanted the sheets replaced. Yes, of course we do! He brought new sheets to the room, dropped them on the bed and said there and walked out. Seriously, this is the worst customer service I have seen in a long time, and by the owner himself. We stripped the sheets and began to make our own bed, and guess what?? More hair on the new sheets. That was enough for me! We packed up our belongings, asked for our money back and went and found a different hotel with clean rooms and clean sheets!!

Nice basic hotel.

Pros: You got a little more than you paid for.
Cons: Staff could replace the light bulbs in the lobby chandelier
Location: Close to restaurants and basic, Walmart style shopping. A small movie theater was withing walking distance.
The rooms were clean and the staff was friendly. It was a straight forward, family run hotel which kind of reminded me of a decent Motel 8. Definitely recommend to anyone traveling on a budget.
