This is my new “go to” hotel in Red Wing. Over the top staff. Johnny’s bar is too cool. Some of the prettiest finish carpentry I have seen. Great cocktail and beer selection (did not scour the wine list). Comfy beds in a unique atmosphere. I am on the road about 60 nights per year. The St. James will be a visit that I look forward to.

This hotel is amazing. Besides the historical atmosphere, the staff was helpful, courteous and very kind. My room was beautiful, comfortable and clean. I ate at Jimmy's Pub on the 5th floor and also had a wonderful experience with the staff, good food and the live band was an added enjoyment! I wasn't excited about the prospect of having super loud music playing while i ate but it was just perfect (I'm a new fan of the couple who sang!) My only regret is arriving so late in the day and not being able to enjoy being here longer. Thank you, St James Hotel staff! You have no idea how you helped out a very stressed out woman!
