We booked our stay well in advance of the annular solar eclipse happening in the area. The rooms were fine and suited our needs. They were also reasonably priced for the time when we booked them. We noticed that the prices increased as the time of the eclipse event got closer, so the hotel staff must not have realized what would be happening there at the time we reserved the rooms.

travel with a dog can become very expensive when staying in motels. This motel had the most reasonable charge and they didn't put us in a room that had obvious dog urine on the wall and stained furniture that needed replaced. We stayed at another Super 8 later on in our trip and that is what we got. I would recommend the Super 8 in Salina for people who travel with a dog.

Room was clean. Service was good. Only complaint I had was the toilet ran all night (I would think their water bill had to have been very expensive) and the heater was Very noisy when it would kick on! Other than that we had a good 1 night stay.

Good service from the front desk morning and evening. Clean rooms with comfortable beds and serviceable towels. Trucks were noisy outside in the evening at our room's location.
