We received an upgrade to a fine room that looked out over the big grassy meadow to the lake. This is a beautiful, quiet place. We had a delicious dinner, and the staff were gracious and helpful. It would be nice if there were an elevator, but the stairs are not too steep or narrow (as at some other places where we stayed), so was okay.

Lovely hotel with charm of an English novel!

The grounds were lovely! Breakfast well done. Rooms were updated but still had character. Staff were very helpful. The property has a small lake with lots of trees. It was a beautiful setting with an English country feel to it.
