The staff who checked my partner and I in called Anne was fantastic, a local lady who was full of character, she certainly made a great impression for arriving to the hotel.
Unfortunately this couldn’t be said about the staff within the restaurant located across from reception. My partner and I went to check out the food menu only to over hear a conversation between a member of staff and the customer.
Customer asked “Lindsey” if they could enter to have some food and drink, she replied if they have booked a table, which they did not.
Unfortunately Lindsey followed up with some unprofessional behaviour and attitude.
My partner and I booked a table for 2000 to which we arrived for 1955 only to be left standing for over 10 full minutes, during these 10 minutes we got approached once from a member of staff asking to be patient and we will be seen.
My partner and I waited that long, the restraints own customers even came up to us to inform us that:
1) they didn’t get seated after 10 minutes therefore they just took their own seats.
2) recommended not to order any food because they were dissapointed
3) if we want a drink then to go to the bar because they waited over 20 minutes for two drinks.
I feel that being informed this by other customers is a shambles and not up to standards of the Seamill Hydro.
My partner and I were eventually seated, and after 1 hour of waiting for a food menu, we decided to leave and get a takeaway from town.
