"Conveniently located, pleasant and helpful reception staff. Breakfast was a bit hit and miss. Bedrooms don't seem to be made up nowadays, coffees etc not replenished so overall a high price for little more than an AirBNB."

"This is a lovely home in a stunning location, with sweeping views of a very nice lake. The villa is very well designed and was very clean. The sauna is large and very nicel--since it is connected to the bathroom, its residual heat makes the room nice and warm. The supplies are all first rate--lots of Ikea, although not overy generous. The pictures are very accurate. We had trouble communicating with the hosts before our arrival, but i believe that was a glitch in the VRBO website, not their problem. There are no instructional or introductory materials for the villa and area, so we had problem with some of the simple systems, but the hosts responded quickly and solved the systems issues. It would probably help to have them meet you upon arrival--they offered this, but we declined. We used the row boat, which was quite adequate for rowing and fishing in the area, but not designed for long distant rowing. The fishing (pike) was very good. The nearby town of Taavetti has a very nice grocery, a couple of local restaurants (Bistro Ostolo was our favorite). There is also a bank and 24 hour ATM. Note you should NOT drive down to the front of the villa, because there is no place to turn around and the road is narrow. Rather, park in the parking lot and walk down--just a minute or so."

"Hotel Rakuuna was lovely and quiet. Walk around the historic buildings and down to the lake was pleasant Staff were friendly and helpful. The shared kitchen stocked everything and kept clean However, after leaving we discovered we had left a cloth bag under the desk in our room. We were happy to pickup on return however the staff advised they didnt find it. This was disappointing to hear as we know it was left there. Lucky there was nothing valuable in it. "
