Overall, will not be returning to this property. On the positive side they have some great staff who were poorly supported by the hotel. Osana and Marcelo at Media Luna provide great service, as did Ismail and staff at the buffet. We chose this property because it was a Marriot. The facilities were nice but lacking in some important amenities when on a longer 10 - 14 day stay. Our room had a trunk at the bottom of the bed, (deep and dark), but no dresser or drawers to hold unpacked clothes. Buffet, (this is where you have breakfast and dinner), had adequate seating but limited food options compared to other resorts where we have stayed. Service was almost non-existent at start but did improve significantly toward the end of our stay. Japanese restaurant has be reserved through their "app". Books up quickly but was an entertaining experience and the food was really good. Media Luna Restaurant, the only place on site to get lunch, was severely understaffed. On one occasion it took 1-1/2 hours (2:30 pm - 4:00 pm) to get our food. In the first 1/2 hour we only saw 2 bus boys enter the lower restaurant area. No serving staff appeared for 1/2 hour. Service at the desk has a lot of room for improvement. It took me 3 days to get change for larger peso notes. You need to phone the desk to order a golf cart ride. On a few occasions it took the desk over 5 minutes to pick up the phone. Love the people. Corporate needs to do a better job to support.

This has been an amazing stay, with my wife. We loved everything about this hotel, staff were great, specially Alan at the lobby bar and Joel our waiter at the beach club house. Setting a reservation at the hibachi is a must! Food served at the hoichol was also great, always fresh! This was the perfect stay to celebrate my wife’s 30th birthday!

Let’s start with good stuff. Pools are great good quiet get away and the staff are very friendly. Here is the ugly stuff. Many people did get sick around us, meds are expensive at the resort. Grill cooks at the pools were not properly trained. The big one is we felt staff were not communicating with each other. We asked for a late checkout twice. Nothing was recorded. It felt like no accountability and we could not talk to a manager

Property- overall the property is relaxing, don't go here for activities or nightlife. I wish they would give out map of the area, because the place is massive, it was hard to find the bars and pantry. This property is so far from downtown, uber/taxi rides will be costly. I wouldn't mind staying in the hotel if they had enough food/amenities/activites. Pools are abundant, great for families. There's a giant slide, kids love that. But there is no playground which is a bummer, given that their property is massive. Shuttle to the beach comes in every hour, but if you want a good umbrella-shaded spot, reserve a spot in the front desk for the earliest shuttle which is 11. The beach is rocky, there's a sudden dip. Food- does not feel like an all inclusive resort because it only has 2 restaurants, the buffet (which had good food but can be tiresome) and benihana style one. then for lunch, these are closed, and they only have the 1 in the beach and 1 poolside which offer very limited food options. Pantry is only in one tower, and towers are far apart. I wish they had one for every area, it was very inconvenient and it wasn't stocked all the time. Rooms- we loved the beds! very comfortable. we would love the shower & separate tub combo, but only a curtain separates it from the room, causing so much water on the floors. We had to control the tv with our phones, which is inconvenient. Massage- this is extra charge but it's worth it. Overall: 5/10, not be staying here again

It's a private location in the forest beautiful at night. Service and food was great. Drinks were average. You're a long ways from town and activities, so taxis get expensive.
