The cabin was nice, however there was no source of heat. Most motel rooms / cabins have a unit that is for heat and cooling. The unit in the cabin was cooling only, not much good on a cool night. Not sure why cabins in Maine wouldn't have heat.

So sorry you were confused. We would have gladly helped you had you called the office. The only complaint we have had on the cabins. Two years ago we installed state of the art hospitality style environmental units that both heat and cool but you have to select the mode of either heating or cooling and then you have a full range of user selected temperature settings. We are at the time of year in Maine when often you may need some cooling in the day and heating at night.

Highly recommend.

Location: Very close to Acadia National Park.
Motel rooms recently remodeled from floor up. Everything feels new, clean and fresh, with some homey touches. Bathroom is small but has nice, modern fixtures and has everything needed. Owner-manager very friendly and accommodating, even helped us find responsible mechanic to help us with car repairs. Only complaint would be that we think Travelocity may have charged us more than the quoted price.

Nice little motel with large rooms

Pros: Location.
Cons: Better curtains. Hairdryers. Better cleaning, there were stray hairs in the sink. Softer mattress, maybe a pillow top would work. Extra pillows.
Location: Waze could not find this motel. It sent me about a block away by the old school house. It is close to Hull's Cove, about a five min. drive into town.
We booked this room after changing our travel dates as finding a hotel in Bar Harbor during high season can be a challenge. The room was large. We were in room number 1, which has a king sized bed. The mattress was quite firm. The room had two small dressers, a flat screen TV and a sitting chair. Pro's: The facility has been updated recently with new paint. It is located on Rt. 3 near the Hull's Cove entrance to Acadia. It was quiet. Con's: The biggest con was the light outside the room that stayed on all night. There is one in front of each room and they stay lit. The curtains are not blackout curtains so the light shines in the room. Also, the bathroom window is not covered so the light shines in there too. No hairdryer. No extra pillows. No facial tissues.

Great little gem

Pros: It was a great bargain for a clean, roomy room.
Cons: I would have liked another chair to use at the desk; the refrigerator should be somewhere else. We had a little problem with the wifi.
Location: Great food, Acadia Nat'l park, Bar Harbor
The hotel is in a great location. We stayed in a newly renovated room that was clean and comfortable. Sean, the owner, took good care of us! He gave us wonderful recommendations for local places to visit and treated us like old friends.
