Best Bargain in Bath

Pros: price
Cons: housekeeping during our stay
Location: great central location from which you can explore the many peninsulas in the area as well as popham beach, Maine maritime museum
During our recent stay at the Rodeway inn we found it clean with an adequate breakfast and nice for the lowest price in the area. It is close to bath, Brunswick, and many waterfront activities. The room care during our stay was minimal but the staff was friendly.

Great hotel close to Popham Beach.

Pros: Close to Popham Beach.
My husband and I, daughter and grandson stayed here for one night and noticed it was one of the best places we have stayed at.

Mixed feelings about this hotel

This hotel is very clean and the front desk staff was nice and helpful. The hotel itself seems old, although well taken care of. Rooms are all on one floor (outside) and you can park close to the room. The hotel is well maintained on the outside. The negatives are the size of the room (very small) and the bathroom is so small you can barely turn around. The main problem is the heat. There is an old heating/air conditioning unit in the room, but it is placed on the far side of the room (outside the bathroom). It was really difficult to regulate the unit. It was extremely hot or very cold in the room. The television did not work -- the color could not be changed and all the people were bright pink. The picture was barely visible. The room did have a window that opened and the shower worked well. I'm not sure if I would stay there again because of the heating system.

Stay ANYWHERE but here!!

Staff was rude, entered room with do not disturb sign on the door without knocking. There was mold on the bagels at the continental breakfast. We stayed off-season in February, but serving stale and moldy food is unacceptable. The room was average for what I expected to pay, but the staff has a loooong way to go in learning the meaning of hospitality. Worst place I have ever stayed.

Complete Disappointment

Room smelled (I can't get the mold smell out of my clothes), the mattress was rock hard. Thank goodness the toiled worked though, we spent a lot of time in there thanks to the horrible food. We were so disappointed in the buffet that we ventured out and found a Pizza Hut at the Plaza and paid for our meals there.

I am so glad to be HOME

Do not go here unless you want your clothes to smell like mold when you get home even after washing them four times. The is the WORST place i have ever stayed. Rooms are gross, food is horrid, they shut off the water everday for three hours. Staff is rude. People in the pool in street clothes, seriously i saw several women in jean skirts in the pool. Cats and dogs roaming all over the resort. Do not waste your money. Beach is like a muddy sand pit and swarms for bugs. It was the worst experience of my life.

Our 1 year anniversary trip

My husband and I just got back from our 1 year anniversary trip. The hotel was very clean, lots of bars, the beach and water were fantastic. We went during the off season so the hotel was not crowded at all. The staff was friendly. The food was o.k. but of course it is not what your used to at home. There were alot of excursions that were extra money that you could go on and book when you got there. Drinks were plentiful. We would return here but because of this vacation being our first we've ever been on, we want to experience other islands. Overall we were satisfied and had a great time.
