Be prepared to run the rooms a/c fan on high. We were right beside the elevator, and the door out to the pool. Lots of door noises, and part of an adjoining room set up so we could just hear our neighbors. With the fan on high we heard none of it. The friendliness, helpfulness and professionalism of the front desk people and cleaning crew more than made up for having to use the fan

We enjoyed the Christian music playing. The room was clean and the staff was friendly, especially in the hospitality room, during breakfast and for the evening dessert. The seating around the pool in building 2 was not very good, only one plastic lounging chair without a cushion.

Upon arrival the front desk staff told my husband they did not have our reservation. He showed them the text and email confirmation on my phone but the manager told him they do not even work with Travelocity and that she would suggest we not use a 3rd party app when making reservation! After my husband returned to the truck with no room keys I went in and asked for the manager again. I nicely informed her that our credit card had been authorized, i had confirmation and receipt on my phone and we needed to figure out what happened because no reservation was not an option so we needed to move on to a plan b! She said i would need to contact Travelocity because there was nothing she could do so maybe they could call her. Over an hour after arriving to check in and I had chatted with Travelocity, the manager found our reservation!! She said it had been emailed and that was not the normal protocol.......I am not sure why she wouldnt have checked email when we first arrived with our confirmation info in hand instead of arguing and making us wait for over an hour! Unfortunately our room had an odd urine type smell (maybe coming from older ac type unit), and the sheets were so scratchy I could not sleep. My husband can sleep almost anywhere and even he said the sheets felt like sandpaper. We were looking forward to staying at the Savannah after reading about it but unfortunately it was not a good experience 😕

I would like to apologize for all the confusion with your reservation. I tried to get you in a room as soon as possible I never had anything like that happen before. I should of been more clear I was going to put you in a new reservation and check you in and then work on finding your original reservation. I'm sorry it didn't go that way. my goal is to make sure all my guest have a wonderful stay. I check the email many time I even searched it. Your reservation was my top priority. I know starting your stay out like that sets a bad mood on everything so once again I apologize your stay did not meet your standard or my goal.
