Comfort and Breakfast

Pros: Clean, Good Customer Service, Breakfast included.
Cons: The humidity in the room.
Location: Close to the freeway, Walmart and Sams, Restaurant, Ultimo Taco is the bomb!
Good stay. Was comfortable for a short trip. Breakfast was included and it was good. Clean room and towels as soon as we would get back. Customer service is great! We checked in very late and we were still accommodated very good. Late check ins guaranteed.

Terrible hotel clean cause of renovations ..

I used to work at the residence for the marriot so i definently know the standard and this hotel didnt even come close. it was clean because they just renovated but the old partz of the building like the bathroom And the elevator were disgusting then after a long day at the beach we come back to our room which we put a Do not disturb sign on so when we had no new towels and it told me to go to the front desk I did. And then I met your very terrible front desk manager eva (names not worth capitalizing) when I very politely asked for new towels she very rudely asked where my old ones were. I was unaware that me the guest had to take towels down to the desk just to get new towels. So I got my old ones and brought them down. It's just me and my girlfriend so when I told her we didn't need the hand towels or the small ones and I asked for 4 big towels she told me no. He exact words were "Are there 4 towels in here" no "I'm only giving you what you brought me". When i worked for the Marriott we were not allowed to say the word no. So I was thrown back by how many times I heard it there. I mean of course I could hold you to Marriott standards but you would never reach them. EVA EVA EVA is the worst hotel employee I've ever met WORST. She needs a new job because she's so terrible at hers.

price was very reasonable, located near mall

Pros: price, overall comfortable rooms, microwaves, frig, free wifi, pool,
Cons: definitely customer/room service, better air conditioning, more parking space,
Location: Mall, many shopping stores, South Padre Island 30 minutes away, minutes from the Mexican border, movies, bowling alley, lots of good restaurants
Reserved two rooms with 2 queen size beds to accommodate 4 people in each room. George the manager called me a week before our stay and said if I could switch to a one king size bed with a pullout sofa bed to accommodate the 4 people. He said the new room would have two tvs which one room didn't. Reluctantly I accepted because he was in a bind to get rooms with two beds for a military conference. When i arrive they allowed us to check in early which was great. Got a room on the third floor and when we go up the whole floor is hot and humid. The room was the same hot and humid. I called the desk to send more bath towels and they said they do not do room service that I would need to go down to pick up extra towels. I go down to pick up towels and the person at the desk says that when I have used the towels I would need to bring them back down and drop them off at the desk. He handed me a plastic laundry bag to put them in. Well I certainly wasn't going to be doing that. The next day when the ladies were going around to clean rooms I asked her to come back to clean since we were still in the room getting ready. She said she would but the room was not cleaned and I had to go get more towels the next day. The rooms were clean overall and for the most part comfortable but service was bad and pretty much non existent. My brother stayed there also and said the same thing. Wont be staying there again. I rather pay more and get better service at the Hilton down the street.

Comfy bed

Pros: Quiet, comfy beds
We had to wait for the staff to get our room ready even though we arrived 2 hours after check-in. However, the room was clean and comfortable. The bed was good and they had really comfortable pillows. The hotel is quiet and parking was plentiful. The AC worked well.

ok stay but billing issues galore

I booked a prepaid hotel for my daughter on travel site and when she checked in, the agent said her hotel room was NOT prepaid and made her pay again. When I contacted the manger he was not helpful and refused to credit the other charge even though he acknowledged the travel agent booking was prepaid. I will tell anyone to beware of this hotel.

nice location, nice price, nice hotel

My boyfriend and I wanted to go to s. padre island alot of the rooms were pricey over there. I found this La Quinta Inn which is about 45mins-hr to the island. Its a perfect location. Theres a walmart nearby, various restaurants and the mall is like 3miles or so away. I saw the pics of the hotel online. It looked a little outdated. overall the hotel was very clean. the room was ok i have been in nicer ones but for the price it was just right. loved the fact there was a fridge and microwave and of course internet available. the breakfast was great im hispanic and i have never stayed at place where they served refried beans and tortillas @ breakfast so that was nice. i was disappointed at the game room there was just a little put put thing for golf. i was expecting a pool table or darts or something. not only that but i was looking forward to unwind in the pool and hot tub but they closed at 9p and by the time we unwinded from the day it was to late to enjoy a late dip in the pool. overall it was nice - i would stay again.

Stress Free Visit

The staff were so accomidating to our every need. The beds are really comfortable and the rooms are nice and clean. It's nice to have a free breakfast waiting for you when you get up in the morning. And there is such a variety of breakfast choices to choose from! We will definetely come back to this hotel.

Great Hotel

The staff was friendly, rooms were clean, the breakfast was great...try the waffles! Check in was a little late but it wasn't too big of a deal. Great location right next to a walmart and whataburger. The pool was great! Just a great place to stay!
