In general, all was good but I was disappointed with their towel selection as they appeared to be worn out

The Westin was a great hotel in downtown Calgary. There are plenty of dining options nearby including The Keg and Starbucks onsite. The hotel staff were all friendly and professional. It was an exceptionally warm winter evening and we were able to walk home from the Calgary Flames game in 30 minutes.

Good location and price, but there is zero ventilation in the hotel (probably to save money in low season), no bathroom ventilation at all. The oldest renovation is now iffy, with bad lighting and power options. The bathroom door is a barn style door on tracks which does not seal. The big fan switch on the wall does not work.

Staff is great. Only 1 elevator was working the first 2 days of our stay. There was a lot of random noises in the room that cost us a good night's sleep from fridge compressor getting loud to electric heater creaking. We felt tired in the morning because of these noises.
