Scenic river community at the Cape Fear River. This rustic little bungalow sits on a 1 acre private wooded lot. Comes fully furnished. Sleeps 4-5people. 1 Bedroom on main floor comes with a king size bed . 2nd bedroom is an upstairs loft with a full size bed . Living room has comfortable sofa, and a twin size sleeper sofa, kitchen is furnished with dishes, cookware , Coffee maker, mixer, Coffee, paper towels , napkins, microwave, refrigerator, smooth top stove. Gas Grill and outdoor sitting area . fire pit for cool evenings around the fire Watching the deer. House is 1/2 mile from boat ramp on the Cape fear River giving access for canoeing and kayaking , tubing and fishing. Riverside picnic area Is a beautiful place for small outdoor weddings ,birthday parties or family reunion or just the perfect quiet getaway. Raven rock state park offers horse riding trails / hiking and is just 2 miles away. This is a perfect getaway for the nature lover . Side by Sides and golf carts are allowed in the neighborhood. Just a quick 12 minute drive back into town for all the restaurants and shopping . We are looking forward to you staying in our totally relaxing vacation getaway at our little river community. Cozy, Quaint, & Peaceful!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay over Christmas 2023! We loved the coziness of the entire cottage, the living room electric fire place is such a great touch! The antique trinkets all around the home were so fun to look at too! Check in was super easy as our host was in communication with us on the day of check in. Our host thought of everything! Toilet paper, paper towels, coffee with filters and sugar, plenty of blankets, a kitchen sink sponge with soap, plenty of bathroom linens, laundry baskets, and the list goes on! We enjoyed our morning coffee on the back deck where listening to the trees and nature was just wonderful. If you are looking for a cute, cozy, cottage in the woods, this is your place! Super close to trails and the state park as well! We can’t wait to come back! Thank you for everything!

Great for a quiet getaway; More rustic than expected
Overall, the location and price was great. Miss Donnetta is very nice to communicate with, and very sweet. The decor is cute and eclectic, and lots of activities can be found literally everywhere. Do not expect ample cell service or stable wifi, which is truly a blessing if you wanted to completely unplug, but it was very difficult for my family as we did not know the area and were here for a graduation that required communication. There is a landline so you are not without a way to reach anyone in an emergency, but the connection is raspy. The steps to the loft aren't too safe, and the floors are not level. There is place for improvement in the cleanliness. When we came in there were mouse droppings in the living room, dead bugs on the floor, and multiple occupied spider webs in the loft. There were previously used washclothes still in the hamper in the bathroom. We felt more comfortable sitting on the furniture with bedsheets over them, and the kitchen chairs are stained. The dishes were put away dirty, and the inside of the oven was a mess. We had a mouse run across the kitchen and hide in the living room on Friday night only to find him Saturday morning dead in the middle of the kitchen. This was obviously not enough for us to leave, but we also felt a little stuck after spending the money and being 8hrs from home. This place has the potential to be an amazing spot.

Property was nice. The jets in tub did not work...heat was inadequate and the wifi was too low for use. We rented as an alternate to hotels for out of town work and ended up only using on weekends for family that wanted a get away so we paid a month for a a little over one week of use.

The wifi was VERY WEAK. There was a TV but very limited channels because of weak wifi connection. Nice place, very clean, and well stocked. Host was friendly. This would be a great place for someone who wanted peace and quiet and did use electric equipment.

Our new home away from home.
Cozy,comfortable,peaceful and a well stocked kitchen!! If my husband didn't have to 'work from home' sometimes I wouldn't mind the spotty internet because it is so great to unplug. Going to look into getting a mobile hotspot for our next visit.
