Popeye's Beach Resort (Caye Caulker Island) Top Floor Condo Beach Unit 19

This top floor condo is located on the Island of Caye Caulker, Belize at the Popeyes resort. Each condo is 350 square feet with full access to beach, dock, and pool. This tropic Island is full of good food, fishing, snorkeling, scuba diving adventures to the blue hole, shark feeding, sunbathing and boating. To see a youtube of the condos copy and paste this URL into your browser. The drone takes about 5 seconds to lift off the top two condos facing the beach are your dream vacation rental. The Island of Caye Caulker is located east of Belize city you have to take a water taxi or small commuter plane to it. It is a small island with no cars or trucks. The water taxi leaves every hour back and forth, cost is about $12.00 USD. the water taxi also can take you to all the surrounding islands. (I have uploaded a photo of times the water taxi runs) It runs every hour during daylight.

Don't do it!
We were put in another unit, NOT the one I paid for!! The owner did not respond to my calls, texts, or emails. It was 40 ft. away from loud, drunk karaoke until after midnight. The place is a dump. The owner should be kicked off of VRBO!! I actually lived in that area for 10 years, so I know a real dump when I see one!! It was the worst I have ever stayed in.

The location is absolutely perfect. It’s a quick 2 minute walk from the Ocean ferry terminal and a quick walk to Main Street Godfrey’s restaurant is straight across from the pool and has great options even for the pickiest of eaters.

The AC barely worked. We had stained sheets and what looked like blood on towels. No TV as advertised. The Windows shook and leaked water into the sill. Beds terrible. Fridge had to be physically moved to plug it in. Duct tape on ceiling. Shower curtain held up by wire going up thru ceiling. Zero instruction on how to get more towels or pool towels. We spoke with many locals about this place and we heard Nothing Good! We didn't sleep at all. The wind picks up and the front window moves around about 1/2 an inch and makes a terrible racket and pools water. From the locals, they said the pool is also usually very dirty and gross. I took many photos of the room. Never again. The photo of the building has been altered, it isn't that bright and in fact is very dull in color. Also the pool chairs aren't the ones shown. They have the clam chairs that are very uncomfortable. If anyone wants true photos of the inside let me know. Many areas of peeling walls, light fixtures gross and missing. Don't waste your previous vacation time uncomfortable and dirty at this place. Stay just 30 seconds away at Seaside Cabanas. Very clean and nice and right on the beach!!

Great location and view!
We would definitely stay there again. The location, price and amenities were all good. The beds were comfy and there was plenty of storage for our things. The only improvement needed was the cleanliness of the kitchen area (maybe the cleaning people missed?) and the shower head was clogged and unusable until we contacted the front desk. Suggest replacing the water-saving shower head with a normal one due to the nature of the local water supply clogging the existing one.
