Airfares offered on Friday tend to be the cheapest, according to flight demand on Travelocity.ca in 2021. Purchasing your airfares on a Thursday or Saturday can also provide better value, however our advice if you’re looking to save money is to avoid booking on a Wednesday or Sunday. Our data shows that those two days have the highest ticket values on average, so keep this in mind if you’re browsing flight deals.
Frequent travellers may already know this, earlier in the week is often the cheapest time to fly. Flights departing on a Monday are the cheapest of the week. Since flights towards the middle of the week tend to be more popular, this causes the prices to rise. This is why, on average, airfares booked on Travelocity.ca in 2021 were most expensive for Wednesday departures.
Here’s the deal: It is typically possible to start comparing international airfares on Travelocity.ca up to 12 months in advance. However, it does depend on the carrier as not all airlines release their prices that far out. According to our 2021 flight demand trends, last minute planners can still bag a bargain with some of the cheapest fares appearing 2-4 weeks prior to their travel dates.

Bath, one of the most-visited tourist destinations in the UK, has such remarkable heritage and impressive architecture that the entire city is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Built over natural hot springs, Bath has had many a heyday, serving as a Roman spa town, a wool center in the Middle Ages, and an elegant showcase of 18th-century Georgian architecture. With cheap packages to Bath, fly into nearby Bristol Airport (BRS) and be among some 2,000 years' worth of visitors drawn to this beautiful English locale.
Bath flights land 11 miles away at Bristol Airport, but it's easy to travel from BRS via public transport. The Airport Flyer Express bus takes passengers to both Bristol Temple Meads train station and Bristol Bus and Coach Station. It's an approximately 30-minute journey, available 24 hours a day. Pay the driver as you board, or buy tickets online beforehand. From Temple Meads, take a train to the Bath Spa railway station, itself a historic landmark. Trains depart for Bath up to five times an hour during peak times. You can buy cheap train tickets to Bath combined with Airport Flyer Express tickets if you book in advance. Alternatively, hop off the flyer at the bus station and take a bus to Bath. Taxis outside the airport terminal building will take you directly to your hotel in Bath. Stop at the booking office opposite the terminal for a fare quote. If you prefer to drive yourself, visit one of six major car rental companies at the airport, all within walking distance of the terminal. Take the A4 road linking Bristol and Bath. Bath sits at the edge of the Cotswolds, and if you do rent a car, consider driving around the pretty villages of this especially scenic region.
Travelocity can help you book flights to Bath, where you'll walk in the footsteps of ancient Romans and Georgian ladies and gentlemen, visit flower-filled parks, and see the stately Royal Crescent. Dreaming of an English escapade while on the go? Get mobile exclusive deals on the Travelocity app.
