Verona is home to an extensive bus system, called Azienda trasporti Verona, or ATV for short. ATV runs several bus lines from Verona Airport to several nearby destinations. You should be able to get to your hotel in Verona easily from the airport using ATV; there are several notable hotels dotting the city for you to take advantage of. ATV also runs bus lines in summer that will take you to several outlying towns.
Like much of the rest of Italy, Verona is on a major rail line. ATV and local taxis are the best ways to get to the Verona Porta Nuova railway station, a hub that services five different lines. From Verona Porta Nuova, you'll be able to get to Vicenza, Padua, and several other famous Italian destinations. This station is famously busy, so plan plenty of time for your trip!
