There was a plumbing problem when we arrived in our room. We thought it small and with are late evening arrival we were tired. But things went wrong from the start. The pole light would not work, the TV remote needed batteries, the toilet leaked and there was no Kleenex or wash clothes. By now it is 1:00 in the morning. Thank the dear Lord the bed was soft. The girls in the morning were nice and tried to refund our room but said they couldn’t.

room was very small and clearly dated. the closet doors were off the track. glad i only booked 1 night. not a good value for the money.

Location

Pros: Quiet
Cons: nothing
Location: the closest town was a bit far
It was not close enough to the airport. We had to take a taxi for 10 GBP each way and had to walk quite a far way to grab a bite.

The Hotel is situated approximately 3 miles from Gatwick Airport and Crawley town centre is about a 15 minute walk away. There are restaurant's in the area, some are closer than the town centre. Please ask the Reception Team for the directions, they will be more than happy to assist you. I do hope that we will be able to welcome you back to the Hotel sometime in the future. Very Nice Hotel

I arrived 6 hours early. The staff welcomed me and was very friendly and professional. They went out of the way to get me a room 4 hours before check-in time so I could rest after 2 days of travel. I would deffently stay again and encourage booking this hotel in Gatwick area for quick stop overs. Thanks Again.

Ok but Not Stellar

The advertised shuttle from the airport didn't show up on three of the scheduled times leaving me and another person waiting in the freezing cold for more than 1.5hrs. Whenever we called the hotel, they told us "10 more minutes" and then finally the guy at the reception desk suggested taking a taxi. Just to get out of the cold, we ended up splitting the cost of the taxi to the hotel which cost 14LE. When I got to the room, the heating was off so I ended up taking a long hot shower just to thaw out after standing outside for so long waiting. It took a few hours for the room to heat up to a comfortable level. Compared to other Crowne Plazas I've stayed in the past, the room was quite small and cramped. The bed was comfortable enough and the bathroom was clean. I did appreciate the complimentary robe and slippers in my room. In the morning, I paid 3.5LE for the one-way ticket on the shuttle which stopped at several other hotels drawing out the time needed to go to the airport to well over 30 minutes from Crowne Plaza. The shuttle service leaves from the side of the hotel in an uncovered area not the lobby which I thought was a bit odd.
