Little Reata at Lake Cabin Escapes

"Tyler Airbnb named No. 1 in Tyler Area for 2018". Custom built Cabin tucked away on our East Texas Farm peeking out over beautiful Lake Palestine. We combined a unique assortment of refurbished wood to give our new cabin that cozy farm feel. It's a peaceful place to get away and refresh! Has a full kitchen with range/oven. Keeping with our Classic Movie theme, Little Reata got it's name from the Epic film "Giant", starring Rock Hudson, Elizabeth Taylor & James Dean.

There is a Brookshires Grocery store approximately 1 mile away. From cabin take FM 2661 to Hwy 155 to store location. There is a Sonic across the street, Purple Pig Bar-B-Que apprx 1/2 mile north from Brookshires and a Crawdaddy's Cajun Grill apprx 1 mile north from Brookshires, a Dairy Queen apprx 4 miles north of Brookshires. Chiggers are out in the tall grass by May 15th, use bug spray when exploring. It is in the woods and at the lake so you can expect bugs, poison Ivey, occasional snakes and other natural critters you find in the woods so please be aware and alert!
Our home is nearby and we are usually around if there is a need, you may see us working in our gardens, on the landscape or walking through the property. There are 5 cabins total & the trails, lake access, fishing deck and hot tub are all shared areas of the property.
This is the Lake Palestine area. A 25,000 acre fishing & recreation lake with 121 shoreline miles. The cabins are near the Tyler lift station which you can hear. It is on the deeper part of the lake.
You're welcome to walk the trails around the cabin. NEW shared fishing dock for guests to enjoy some of the best fishing Lake Palestine and can even jump in for a swim!!The Villages Marina is 10 minutes away. We have 2 spots with limited Lake Access. Both are great for fishing, catching a beautiful sunset or even a little swimming by the more adventurous guests, all at your own risk! Neither space is a public swimming area, they are natural shorelines and only accessible by a pretty good hike:) Both spots are shared by all 5 cabins and also public areas of the lake popular with local fishermen. We have chairs at both spots and a map in the cabin. The fishing deck has a steep staircase. Parking is close by and each cabin has its own trail, please follow your designated drive only!
We have an outdoor game area set up so enjoy a round of corn hole while catching a view of the Lake! Our cabins are more for getting outdoors not so much for movie watching as we have limited internet and zero cable available here:)
Great spot to sit on the front porch and enjoy the birds singing or build a campfire at night!
The cabin has a couch below that makes into a full bed. There are extra linens provided in the couch.
The Cabin is perfect for romantic getaways. What makes it unique is the compact luxury/roughness. Come see to understand. It is ideal for couples, but can accommodate a small family. It is a small space for more than 2 adults. Due to the nature of our construction and owner having severe skin allergies we have a strict no pet policy! We do all the laundry an cleaning ourselves and CANNOT accommodate animals of any kind. Please respect our health and do not ask for exceptions.
Cable TV and ground internet are not available here in the woods. We have Limited jet pack Wi-Fi available. Come to unplug and enjoy the Romance, Nature and Beautiful outdoors!
