The location is great! The property is pretty, pool is good. At first the property owner is nice and helpful, and then I get a very rude text message from I don’t know if it is the owner or the property manager. It read as followed, “ Good morning, There is a $10 charge for damages/stains on our towels.  You damaged the bath mat and hand towel with stains all over. We have kitchen towels to be used to clean up food/drink spills, not out bath towels. We also have paper towels in the goodies room that can be used.  If you book at our property again, I will require a $100 security deposit. Regards, Tropic Isle Beach Resort” I am glad they assume it was from food, even though I never removed any of there towels from the bathroom. And they assume they know what I did or did not do in the room. I would was going to give them a good review until this rude text message.

Our property guidelines clearly say to take care of our linens and towels and if there are excessive stains you will be charged. We provide dark gray wash clothes and make up wipes for usage in the bathroom. We also have paper towels in the goodie room. There is no reason our white bath towels should have orange stains lol over them.

Our stay at Tropic Isle was beyond our expectations. The host, Tonya, went out of her way to make our stay wonderful. She was very responsive to a minor event of a fan control not working; she arranged for its repair quickly and efficiently making sure that the repair happened when we were not there. It is clear from the condition of the property that she really cares about her guests. Clean, well maintained, and designed with her guests in mind. We will definitely stay again when we are visiting the area.

I rarely write reviews, but I would be remiss not to share the wonderful experience of my recent stay (July, 2022) at the Tropic Isle Beach Resort. As a solo female traveler, I was looking for a safe place to stay near the beach with amenities that I would feel comfortable during my stay. The location of this property is amazing! The beach is literally a 2-3 minute walk from your room, which the resort also provides beach chairs and towels you can take along, if you wish. The courtyard consists of a beautiful green lawn space with tables, chairs & a very well maintained pool. My room (112) was beautifully decorated, bright, clean, & equipped with a refrigerator, coffee maker, cooktop, & all the dishes one would need for a stay. On my trip, I met some friends & they joined me for a couple hours at the pool. All, regretted they rented rooms at traditional hotels along the beach when they saw this place. All agreed they will definitely be changing their plan to stay at the Tropic in the future. I can't convey enough that the Tropic is perfect for a perfect for a solo traveler, couples &/or families. Before I end my review, I want to thank Caroline, the excellent manager at the property. Caroline was friendly, helpful, & diligent in answering any questions I had. She text when my room was ready & also responded to questions in the evening hours, which included my request to stay an additional night since I was having such an excellent time. We loved this place! If we ever come back to this location we will definitely stay here. It is close to the beach about two blocks. There is parking for a fee $2 an hour. The room is just perfect for two people. There is a queen size bed. Flatscreen TV. Bathroom with a shower and a window you could open for a little fresh air. Also a kitchen which includes stove, oven, microwave, coffee pot, utensils, plates etc. all the necessities. The room is yours and there’s a basket in the room to put your dirty towels in and set them outside the door and they are replaced daily. I asked and they do recycle so there is a place to take plastic and cans. There is a pool it’s beautiful, but the weather was a little chilly to go in the water. The parking was free. There are only 15 units which is nice. We love this place, perfect for what we needed. And as I always say when something is great, they get a gold star.

I need to say the woman who oversees the property was an absolute angel & the only pleasant part of my stay. This is not a place to stay if you want sleep. This is where you stay if you plan to be drunk & in the sun for your stay. The tv didn’t work, the keypad battery died & I couldn’t get in my room. The a/c was a wall unit that let you know it was turning off and on. The owners of this property are cutting corners and it’s not ok. Unless you’re drunk the whole time then you won’t notice a thing. I kept praying to sleep repeating “please don’t be like surf side.” Unfortunately I’ll never stay there again and my friends aren’t drunks so I would never recommend this place to anyone but trashy alcoholics. Again, the woman who oversees the place was an absolute angel.

Our little motel is under new ownership and they have been working with an architect and submitting plans to the city of Deerfield Beach to complete major exterior abs interior renovations. Unfortunately due to COVID the city is very behind on permits. Almost everyone that stays with us loves the location and the cleanliness of the rooms even though they are dated. The wall unit AC will be changed next fall. There is a setting that the AC can be put on so it does not turn on/off. I wish you would have asked the staff about it. Tropic Isle is near the beach and it was a Saturday night. Most of our guests do typically go out on the weekends as there are several restaurants and bars with walking distance of our property.

I liked the property, the owner and the staff. The hotel is in very close walking distance to the beach and many good restaurants.
