The room smelt - a combination of cannabis, damp and something! The room was very cold, there was a heater in the room that kept sparking and was a fire hazard, after repeatedly asking they put the central system on heat (it was set to cool though the weather outside was 12 degrees at best). When they eventually set it to heat around midnight after the third time of asking, and we put the room fan on to warm up the room, it didn't work. The extractor fan also didn't work, and as the window wouldn't open there was effectively zero ventilation in the room. My kids got sick - hardly a surprise, and *very reluctantly* we decided to stay another night, because we didn't want our kids to have to go on a train when unwell - but they wouldn't clean the room or even refresh the beds. We decided to leave because keeping sick kids in a room with no ventilation that hadn't even had bedding they'd vomited on changed - was not going to happen. This was a horrible stay.
