The hotel did not have my reservation. Travelocity said my hotel reservation was non-fundable as per the hotel. But the hotel said they have problems with their system and had no reservation. It is not worth driving for hours to have to deal with reservation problems and inconsistencies.

Hotel outside of Glenwood Springs

Pros: We liked the complimentary breakfast and A/C in the rooms.
Cons: The pool/fitness areas need to be improved as they are small and outdated. The breakfast area needs more tables as we had to sit on the couch to eat.
Location: The location was great; close to Rifle Falls State Park and Glenwood Springs. Convenient location off I-70. We loved walking around downtown Rifle.
We were pleased to find an affordable hotel close enough to Glenwood Springs, without the outrageous costs. The hotel staff was friendly but didn't seem too attentive. When we checked in and went up to our room, the key cards didn't work. We had to go back down and have them set the cards because they either forgot to do so or set them for the wrong room. The room was clean and comfortable, but tiny in comparison to other hotels we've stayed at. We loved that there was A/C in the rooms as it was 95+ degrees all weekend. The pool was a disappointment as it was very tiny and shallow. The complimentary breakfast was great for convenience. We went to breakfast at 6 am thinking it would be fresh, but was cold, soggy and flavorless. All in all, we got what we paid for and had a place to sleep at night.

A one-night stay on our way south for the winter

Pros: Good value for the money - close to freeway.
Cons: Get an internet service that works.
The front desk clerk was wonderful about solving our problems. Internet connection was almost useless it was so slow/ The TV remote control needed new batteries - replaced promptly by the front desk clerk. The room was clean and functional. Breakfast was OK.
