You get what you pay for, but the basics need to always be addressed. The room was tidy, but not cleaned as we would expect. There was an empty toilet paper roll and an empty toiletries wrapper on the bathrom floor. The room was either freshly painted or freshly sprayed with insecticide not sure which. Didnt complain to the desk clerk, because it is an old hotel and I imagined thats what smells like. Not recommened.

It is run down, smoking in non smoking rooms,hallway smelled. Had an incident where the people above us had kids or something jumping all above us late into the night when we had to get up early the next day. We complained 6 times nothing was ever done. Our room did not receive room service at all Friday through Sunday. We had to get our own clean towels and make the beds. Over all for the price we will stay elsewhere next time. There is not a HOT Tub on property i was told. So pictures lie!

Old building needing maintenance

The staff is very friendly, but the building is very run down. It was leaking in the hallway, my room smelled of mold and mildew, the furniture was in poor condition. The building should be brought up to code or closed down. You may want to take it off of your site. I feel sorry for the staff, but the build sucks!

Not very nice

Bathroom had mildew all around tub, towels were very old and rough. Couch had holes and stain on it to the point I wouldn't sit on it. Front door to the room would not close correctly so we couldn't even use the deadbolt! Everything on the room felt wet and even though it was a non-smoking room, the smell of smoke still permeated.

Don't waste your money

Regret staying here but made a non refundable reservation and when we checked in I noticed it had a B (80%) sanitation rating, this was not mentioned in your reviews, wouldn't have made the reservation if I had known that.

This was the only hotel we could get for a trip to visit our daughter at East Carolina University. The price I thought was reasonable at $80 a night. The reviews I read stated that the hotel was clean and a good value for the price. They were all wrong. When we arrived we checked in at the front desk. The lobby and atrium to the hotel smelled like a moldy, musty basement. The first room we were given was on the second floor and the hotel has no elevator. We walked into the room to discover a vacuum, dirty socks on the desk and the bathroom obviously not cleaned. We requested another room. This room was not much better. The air conditioner did not work correctly so the room was constantly damp and everything felt wet. The couch was ripped and stained and there was mold and dirt on most of the bathroom surfaces. The shower curtain was installed incorrectly so it never stayed closed. To sum everything up, this hotel needs to be torn down.
