Comfortable and convenient in the foothills

Pros: The beds and bedding are very comfortable.
Cons: it was a little warm in the room, had a hard time controlling the temperature, but in all fairness, we did not ask for any assistance to adjust it.
Location: wal-mart and restaurants we close-by, the ski and tubing resorts were a little further out, but close enough to utilize.
Clean room, friendly staff, close to the ski resorts.

Great place to stay! Plenty of places to eat. Close to Boone and Blowing Rock! Over all a nice place to stay for the money.

Nice hotel in a small town

Pros: The best features in our opinion were the room itself, with comfortable king bed and plenty of pillows, and the friendly and helpful staff.
Cons: The fitness room is okay, but rather small. The breakfast area is medium sized, but still crowded at breakfast. No couch or easy chairs in lobby.
Location: Lenoir is an interesting small town. Wilson Creek is about half hour away, with beautiful scenery and excellent hiking.
We stayed for two nights and we were very pleased with our room and the staff. All the staff that we came into contact with were very friendly. The free breakfast was good. The room was clean, comfortable and large enough that the two of us were not cramped and had plenty of room.

Relaxing overnight stop

Pros: Location, cleanliness at a decent price with a nice mix of breakfast options.
Stopped on the way back from a mountain trip, great location, helpful staff with a clean, comfortable room.

Close to location

Pros: Free breakfast
Cons: Noisy, Poor breakfast, poor internet, may have to deal with police
The distance to my destination is the only reason I stayed here. This property has been declining in years, and now the area is so bad that the staff will call the police if you stand outside and make a phone call. Spend the extra 20 minutes and stay in Blowing Rock. Internet is useless, had change missing from maids.

Good location bad service

Pros: Free breakfast, Close restaurants, Free Internet
Cons: Poor breakfast, front desk service, weak coffee, some rooms are very dark and need more light., rooms missing a desk
This is new review . Forget the old positive reviews. The hotel badly needs renovations. It still has those bulky old TVs that are blurry and with few channels. Their breakfast and especially coffee is going downhill. Worst is the front desk where they will somehow find the worst room even if you are a long time customer.

Very friendly service and comfortable accommodations.

Pros: Free breakfast, Close restaurants, Quiet
This motel was in a good location for going into the Blue Ridge Mountains. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The motel was located right next to a good restaurant for BBQ ribs and chicken.
