About this property

Secluded ridge 1,900 acre forest valley

Built very strong to resist earthquakes in 2008 this 30 x 42 farm style block house has large 20 x 30 deck and 8 x 42 covered porch to view the very quiet pine forest valley and ridge as well as the deer and rabbits that often frequent the yard in front of the forest edge. There’s about 30 miles of dirt roads and trails to hike even on top of the ridge.
It’s 15 minutes or a little less to the Bath houses down town.
G.P.S does not get you to the right address so please follow carefully my very specific directions here….once turning onto Peaceful Valley Road you will stay on the pavement 2 miles up and down the ridge until you get to the corner of Liesure Terrist road on the left side of where all the trash cans are lined up on the right side… bear right around the corner and the pavement will end and just before a steep dirt road my gravel driveway on the left with #138 on a post goes down hill to the house which is hidden from the entrance view.
If you have any trouble finding it just call me or text me if you don’t have a Verizon phone service.
Also…just to inform you that even though you have the first and second floors of my house to rent my daughter lives in the basement apartment and has her own separate entrance on the opposite side of the house and she is a quiet person and will not bother you.
The code to the lock box will be given upon arrival at 4 p.m. checkin time or after whenever you call or text me for it. I have to make sure the maid service is finished and they always are by 4 p.m check in time.
The code to the WIFI is…mountainhome… no spaces in the word.
If you have any other questions please let me know. Thank you. Drive safe!.
There is no fire pit because of lack of space on the hillside and the closeness to the woods, grass fields and in the National forest as well as possible burn bans in affect.

Country at it’s Best
We loved this place. It was so quiet and it was easy to unwind from the hustle and bustle! We really enjoyed the quiet and watching the storms come over the mountains. Follow the directions the homeowner gives you in the listing.

Great House
The house was very clean. It was very secluded, so there was not any traffic so that made it quiet. Would stay again.

Nice, quiet scenic location
Our family really enjoyed our stay here and loved the remoteness, quiet of the location, views from the back porch, and just being in nature. As several other reviews have stated, this is not a fancy place to stay but it was great for our family. The kids really enjoyed the foosball table, but it needs to be tightened up/secured before many more play on it. Another interesting aspect to me was that the kitchen was well stocked with certain items, but not some of your every day items, such as only having 5-6 total plates and 2 bowls. Overall, we loved our stay & the owner was very responsive to any questions or needs that we had. I would recommend.

Tranquil
Was the perfect place for us to stay, minutes away from downtown but quiet, they were working on landscape and house so first impression was questionable, but inside was very clean and comfortable, loved the back porch with view of valley, we were very satisfied with this choice, host we very nice and helpful with our stay, would definitely stay here again.

Boonies but so close to town!
It was secluded it wasn't anything elegant. But it was perfect for me and my brothers to hang out and spend time together.

Slam jamming getaway
This place is out in the sticks and is perfect if you want to get away from it all. I went there with my wife, twin 10 year olds and triplet 6 year olds. There lots of places to eat and sleep, the view is beautiful and Hor Springs is a short drive away. If I had to nitpick, it could use more blinds or shades and the master bedroom needs a fan. But overall we absolutely loved it. The host is very nice and actually lives on the bottom floor. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. It was peaceful and sitting on the porch listening to nature was amazing. Highly recommend.

Secluded setting
The property owner was quick to repair a problem with the plumbing. We were down to only one bathroom for one night and he had a plumber there at 9 the next morning. Communication for check in was stressful because the property manager had not sent check in material. He was not answering his phone for us to communicate. He had, however, sent directions when he accepted our reservation, so we drove to the property and he was there and had it unlocked. Overall it was a good experience.
