The room is exactly as described. It was clean and spacious. Location is great, there are many places to eat in the area and the entrance to the Grand Teton National Park is very close. My dislikes are 1: there are no elevators and 2: there isn’t a TV in the room. This is my first time staying in a Hostel and I would stay here again. If you need a place to sleep in, it is a pleasant place to do so.

We are glad that you enjoyed your stay. As an older wooden building, we unfortunately can not now provide an elevator, though we do our best to accommodate those who might have trouble with the stairs on our lower floors, and will help with luggage if necessary. While it would be nice to have TVs in the rooms, they would unfortunately be quite disturbing to one's neighbors, again due to the wood construction. We do, however, provide a couple TVs in our common area/game room, which provides an opportunity to mingle with guests from around the world. Hopefully we will see you again.

Don't be fooled by the name "Hostel" - this is a great little hotel! If you don't need all the bells and whistles this has everything you need, and you have access to all the other "high end" stuff the other hotels offer within the Teton Village complex! It was clean, comfortable and best of all AFFORDABLE. Offers a fun game room and community style kitchen. Bus service is available to downtown Jackson Hole.

Thanks for the thoughtful feedback. We like to offer basic, affordable accommodations amidst the high-end properties of Teton Village, but with the same access to JHMR and the National Parks as places charging 2x-5x as much! Hopefully we will see you again.

Only one complaint. They pre-charged half of each room before we arrived. Could not understand why.

Thank you for your feedback. As stated on our own website, and on the information entry screen for Travelocity directly under the "Total Due at Property", we do charge the 50% deposit to guarantee your reservation, akin to all the adjacent hotels in Teton Village. This assures more legit reservations and fewer no-shows, which keeps our rates lower than they would otherwise be. We are glad that you enjoyed your stay with us.

Great value for the money.

Pros: Great value.
Cons: Lots of things could be better, but why? This hotel is exactly what it says it is.
Location: In the heart of Jackson Hole, near everything.
No frills, but plenty of room, comfortable and clean. A great value for the money. Not the Hilton, but it's in a great location and we enjoyed our stay. Game room in the hotel is a great place to gather, relax and have fun.

Drunken skier crash pad.

Pros: I'm still thinking.
Cons: This "room" should not be listed with the other real places to stay.
Location: This is an event/ski destination "resort" area. So you're paying to be there with your friends. So you're not suppose to care about value.
(Here's exactly how I described it to my wife:) "I apparently booked the last "room" in Jackson. Room is intended for four single (drunken) skier buddies that just need a place to pass out. Rustic, CREAKY floors, all plywood walls, two small single beds, bunks beds, wooden bench, no chair, no TV, no desk, no table, no night stand, five wooden hooks (for coats?), sink, toilet, 3x3 shower, huge parking lot, had to park fifty yards away, third floor, no elevator. (It's going to be a chocolate night!) At least it's only one night! Tomorrow I'll be at the G___ W____ which should be nice. (It was -- and got a suite for $20/night cheaper!) Dreadful. No I wouldn't even recommend this to someone I didn't like.

Hostel in JacksonHole Wyoming

Pros: As it turned out, it was only about a mile to the Grand Teton Park entrance.
Cons: The floor boards and creaking. Also, put some insulation and sheetrock on the walls to insulate the sound coming through the rooms and ceilings.
Location: There was not much to do by the hostel except eat. The gondola was way too expensive and the chair lift was not open yet. We did enjoy Grand Teton.
This is not the type of place we are used to. We booked it on the Internet after seeing that many hotels were full in the area near the Grand Tetons. The hostel was super rustic. The room was clean but dark and the walls were plywood. The bed frame was hand-made as well as the bed posts and lights in the corners. (This was creative but could have been nicer - the king mattress was smaller than the bed frame and we banged our legs on the wood getting in and out of the bed during the night.) The worst part was the ceiling and floors. The floor in the room had a rug but there were wooden planks underneath as well as on the deck running along the entrance to the rooms. The floors creaked loudly every time someone walked on them. There was no air conditioning in the room and no TV. Luckily, it got cold during the night so no A/C was needed. We ran the electric fan on the second night to try and block out the creaking noise. We would not stay there again. Also, it was not cheap - $272 for two nights.
