This is a rustic place in a beautiful area between Grand Tetons National Park and Togwotee Pass. The regular room I had was pretty clean, except for the carpet. There was no refrigerator in the basic room but I knew that. It is expensive for what you get, but that is true all through the area. It was quiet overall despite benign the highway. The best thing about the Hatchet is the breakfast you can buy at their restaurant. It was delicious and reasonable. The dinner restaurant I can't recommend. It was just okay. My trout was dry, the vegetable mix okay and the baked potato seemed to have been microwaved. It was overcooked and had an area of dark discoloration in the middle. I was able to get a swap to garlic mashed potatoes which were lumpy but okay. The drinks were strong though ;-)

AC didn’t seem to work but we were still comfortable. Restaurants on property were good. Friendly staff.

The motel delivers exactly what a 'log cabin' should. If you're looking for the 1950's nostalgia of staying at a roadside motel, the Hatchet Resort is your place. It's not the Ritz, or even a Best Western, but for what it's themed to be; you get a decent value for a 'semi-rugged' log cabin stay.

Primary purpose of renting a hotel is to sleep peacefully in night and we were unable to do that. we were 4 people and bed given to us were small, narrow and inconvenient. One bed was 7 ft above the ground, narrow and no safety grill around it, making it very tough for toddler to sleep. we have to sleep on remaining 2 (twin queen beds)This ruined our next day of trip.

Because that's not a bed, its a luggage rack, and that's the beds that come in the suite sorry if that's all that was available but you booked the room with those bed types
