Pros and cons:
Cons - the biggest disappointment, trash everywhere, not so much at the resort but at the beach and the main street. The main street sidewalks and roads are beat up w/ cracks, potholes, missing concrete sections - it was rather ugly. Beach was a ghost town, I assume it's because of the trash in the water and on the beach. I assume everybody was at their pools. The beach surf did not look inviting, it's not your typical Cancun bathtub water. The hotel itself is very outdated including the pool area. Paint would not fix the problems here - it just needs to be remodeled. For you economic enthusiasts, there is no Capital Improvements. LOL Typical air conditioning in the rooms do not pull out the humidity so everything smells musty.
Pros - I read a lot of reviews and everybody raved about the breakfast here. Yes it was good and plentiful and many different varieties including local cuisine. It's no Las Vegas buffet but it was quite good. And of course the employees get my five-star rating. They are helpful, they go above and beyond. If you ask where something is they won't point they will walk you there. That goes for the entire area not just this hotel. Of the many reviews I've read for different hotels, the employees got great reviews, that's just the culture. I would not come back to this area. The island of Bali has beautiful places this is not one of them based on the rubbish, trash, garbage lying around and there seems to be no effort to clean it up.
