"A brilliantly central hotel with helpful, calm & readily available staff. Upgraded on last night as there had been a problem with bathroom (not that we had noticed!). Fabulously comfy beds & exactly what we were looking for in a hotel during the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham! "

"The only budget thing about this hotel is the room size, which isn’t a problem when you are out doing things. Spotlessly clean, welcoming, helpful, nice gestures like a goodie bag. Room serviced daily, which we don’t see in expensive hotels. Breakfast was fine, but better the second day as there was fresh fruit available."

"We stayed at the hotel for a night while attending the Commonwealth Games. We parked at the hotel in the underground car park, it was £16 for the stay. There are a number of NCP car parks near by but this felt much more secure. Reception were really friendly and kind on each occasion we spoke to them and very helpful when answering our questions. Many attractions and restaurants are within walking distance of the hotel, though Birmingham has some steep areas so be prepared for some uphill moments! We had a Penta Plus room and bed was good size and clean. Shower was nice and powerful. Air conditioning worked to which I find very hit and miss in most hotels. Some may find a bit noisy on highest setting but I usually sleep with white noise so this made me feel at home. Was only In Birmingham for a night but I look forward to returning and would stay here again. "
