Welcome to "Seclusion in the Rocky Mountains”! The cabin is located at the Historic M Lazy C Ranch nestled in the heart of the picturesque Colorado National Forest. This original Thatcher home built in 1906 would transport you back to the Old Wild West! Sit on the porch & watch for elk, antelope, deer, or the occasional moose. Perfect for romantic retreats, family vacations, weddings, holiday celebrations, and more!
The space
Welcome to the Historic 1906 Homestead cabin! The cabin can comfortably accommodate up to 8 guests. The spacious living room, dining area, and fully-equipped kitchen create a welcoming atmosphere. Relax by the cozy wood burning fireplace, enjoy the comfortable seating area. The main level also features a Queen-sized bedroom with fire place, and one full bathroom. The second floor features two twins bed and a pull out twin bed, and half bathroom. Apart from the wood burning fireplace, the unit comes furnished with portable heaters as needed to keep you warm throughout your stay.

The house is private but is located in a historic ranch (MLazyc Ranch). The ranch has 7 other cabins located nearby but are all separate and private units.

The water is not potable (not drinkable). It is safe for taking showers and for cooking. We will provide bottles of water upon arrival.

We have UTV rental at the property from April 1 to October 15, horseback riding, sleigh rides (coming soon). If you look at our website M Lazy C website, you will see the calendar of events.

We are pet friendly with the exception of certain breeds like Pit bulls, German Shepherds, and Rottweilers. ($75 Pet fee).

4x4 vehicle will be needed during winter months due to terrain conditions when it snows. (Generally from Nov-March)

Your cabin is 100% yours! The home is the original Thatcher family homestead from 1906. There are 80 acres to explore with a lot of animals both domestic and wild to see. We have Elk, Moose, Big Horn Ram, Mule Deer and more that like to graze in the pastures around the ranch.
Other things to note
*NO smoking or vaping is allowed indoors.

* The water is NOT DRINKABLE please make sure to bring your own water. We will provide a few bottles of drinking water upon check in.

*We have a little recreation center that has a TV with DVD Player along with a pool table, couches etc. It is a great place to stretch out and relax.

*Please don't go inside of the animal pens or feed them. We take in a lot of special needs animals that no one wants, and they are often on special diets.

*We do highly advise that you purchase traveler's or trip insurance to protect your purchase in the event of poor weather, illness, or other factors outside our control that would cause you to have to cancel after booking. Many credit cards offer this protection as well.
