Welcome to the Riverside Cabins in beautiful Lyons, Colorado!
Our Blacksmith Cabin is an old (1883) cabin with its own wood burning fireplace. Approximately four miles west of Lyons and 16 miles east of Estes Park. Newly renovated and furnished to provide a cozy mountain vacation experience. Come enjoy the fresh mountain air along the river, head up to Rocky Mountain National Park for some amazing views and great hiking, or head to the town of Lyons for some great local food and beverages

The Space:
This cabin is one of 11 cabins throughout our quiet and peaceful 5 acre private property. If you want a quiet, relaxing setting and aren't afraid to stoke a fire then come visit our BlackSmith Cabin. Its a perfect mountain getaway with views all around. Our private property has river access for all our guests!

Sleeping: Queen bedroom with a dresser and back patio entrance. There's a Full Futon in the Living room

Kitchen: Refrigerator, Electric Stove, Microwave, Toaster, Coffee Maker, Dishes, Cooking Utensils, with tons of Spices!

Bathroom: Standing Shower, Vanity, and Washer Dryer

Ceiling Fans, Wood Fireplace, and Base Board heaters for those who are not comfortable with a wood burning fireplace:)

Environmentally Safe Cleaning Products, Detergent, Septic safe Paper Towels and Toilet Paper Provided.

Pets - One time fee of $25 per pet - For the safety of your pet, other guests and the wildlife, Pets must be on leash at all times. Please pick up after them we have a dog trash/bag station right outside your cabin

Guest Access:
If you are coming from Lyons you will turn Left just after county road 80 onto our private drive. You will drive down the road past the parking lot and continue to follow the one way dirt road around the curve to the Blacksmith Cabin on your right. Please park next to the cabin to unload your things and then keep following the one way drive around and back to the parking lot. It will be a short walk from the parking lot to your cabin. We wanted to keep the property quiet, peaceful and natural for all of our guests so you can enjoy all the property has to offer! Please feel free to check out our property but please be mindful of other guests. You will have access to the river and our property! Feel free to explore but please be mindful as we do have 10 other cabins throughout the property where other guests are staying.

The Neighborhood:
The Blacksmith Cabin is located on the Riverside Cabins private property right along the St. Vrain River! There are 11 cabins on our property and we pride ourselves in keeping it private and natural so everyone can enjoy the beauty of the mountains. We are less then 8min to Lyons and about 15min to Estes Park, 20min to RMNP and any and all hikes in between! If you are looking to attend one of Lyons many festivals we are a 5min drive to Planet Blue Grass.

Getting Around:
Any vehicle will be able to access our property. In winter AWD or 4WD are recommended anywhere in the Colorado Mountains. Just be aware while you stay where you will be adventuring to. In winter the property is plowed and shoveled.

Parking-Please do not park in front of the garage, this is our maintenance area. Please use the One Way road to get to your cabin to unload your things. Always go the same direction to get back to the parking lot. The road is not wide enough for two vehicles to pass each other in certain spots

Other Things to Note:
Wildlife: We are in the mountains and do have wildlife walking through the property regularly such as Black Bear, Elk, Fox and Bobcat etc. That being said please keep your distance, these are wild animals and we are in their space. Please do not approach them as we want them to come back. Keep a safe distance and enjoy their presence. Please keep your car doors locked and throw away any and all food into our bear proof bin located in the brown box near the Lodge driveway.

Outdoor Firepits: We have 5 outdoor gas firepits that you are more then welcome to use but please remember to turn the fire pit and the propane off before you leave. Thank you! Enjoy!

This cabin is Dog friendly for up to two dogs. We know dogs are an important part of the family and are happy they can come with you! We do ask that you keep them on a leash for their safety as well as other wildlife that may be walking through the property. Also if you do need to leave them in the cabin we ask that they are crated. We do have pet waste stations so please pick up after your pet:)

River and Fire Bans- The River is cold mountain run off and is also at times very deep and fast. Please be aware of this and stay a safe distance when enjoying! We will let you know about any fire bans that might come up in the area.
