When you walk up to the property, it looks really nice. The people checking us in didn't really greet us, just basically asked our name to check us in. We couldn't grab a baggage cart ourselves, an attendant said he had to help us. He grabbed a cart and he was walking with us but then suddenly stopped and started helping someone we were like, okay, we'll do it ourselves so we had to pull four bags of luggage to our room. After we dropped our bags off we went to the Tiki bar to get a drink, it was dark out now, the bartender could bearly squeak out "what do you want to drink" and kind of tossed menus on the bar at us. During check in and at the bar, the first impression was not good. We said to each other, boy, no personalities, just flat attitudes. For the amount of money charged per night, the room was pretty much average, a room you'd find anywhere, and, for much less. The hallway carpet, from the elevator to the room, has bleach streaks and bleached out blobs which gives a bad impression heading to your room (we were on the fourth floor). One of the stairwell door handles fell off the door when we tried to open it. It literally came off in my hand. The resort charges way too much for food and drinks. We ended up going to the store to purchase our own snacks, food and items to drink. We ate a couple times there, but split one meal just to tie this over so we can go somewhere else to eat. Have no idea what the $55 a day resort fee for amenities gave us.

We own The Epic W.P.B. and have been working with hospitality for a very long time. I was a bit concerned after reading that someone rented one of these “villages” but could not use the hotel amenities and was upset over the lack of activities upon arrival. I called the hotel to make sure that wouldn’t be the case since this was a last minute booking and I knew little to nothing about this hotel before booking it, I was assured we would have access to the pool and other amenities. Upon arrival, we had some small issues with our initial “Villa”, I have disabilities and it was a bit far from the action. I also had a neighbor who was a bit loud. When I contacted the front desk, Jordyn, their hotel manager on shift, took me on a tour of the units available that evening and shared tips to help us make the most our of our stay. She also allowed us to move to where I felt more comfortable at our own pace. Jordyn made us feel treasured. Beautiful property, outstanding service, great views and amazing atmosphere. I learned the Villages are privately owned and the owners use different platforms to rent it out. Just like Airbnb’s, you will find the good ones and the not so great ones. If you are going to rent this property, make sure you’re renting directly from HAWKS CAY and when in doubt, call the hotel, they’re super helpful. Renting from. HC will grant access to the same amenities the hotel guests enjoy on site. You will be delighted.

We got stranded in New Orleans by Southwest Airlines, and could not get to the resort on our scheduled check in day and were told NOTHING could be done to reimburse us for that lost night, and that if we hadn't of called our entire reservation would have been canceled and labeled no show - and the full amount still billed to our credit card. Pools were dirty and hot - pumps were never on circulating cold water.

Awesome resort, lots of different activities and things to do at the resort. Cove was awesome, you plenty of space to spread out and not feel like you are right on top of other people. Neat area around the cove for you to watch the dolphins. Would definitely add it to my list of return places/resorts to stay in. Very friendly staff and overall great experience!!

We have never experienced such a superior staff!! Everyone from maintenance, cashiers, waiting staff were very kind, attentive and very professional. My husband and I were on the dock fishing and one of the cleaning staff called out from the porch she was cleaning “good morning! I hope you have a wonderful day! We enjoyed our stay very much!
