I like the shuttle service for rooms and to go to other hotels. Also the shuttle to the beach.

Needs updating, with free WiFi and plugs in rooms for charging phones/computers. Rooms very roomy and clean. Grounds well maintained, beautiful flowering shrubs. Friendly staff, good food. More choices on room service menu needed.

Satisfied Customer

Pros: Close restaurants, Free Internet, Quiet, great marina view
Stayed from 12/10/11-12/17/11 and was very happy with all aspects of the El Cid Marina. We had a one bedroom suite and room was nice and clean with a kitchen and a King bed. Bed was a little hard for my liking but I have a Tempur Pedic at home so I am a little bias. View from balcony was great and hotel grounds were very clean and well kept. The pool was nice and the drinks were weak but tasty. We did not get all inclusive because I feel it is never a good deal and there are so many great places to eat in Mazatlan that you shouldn't feel obligated to stay and eat there. We did eat two meals at the El Cid Marina and both were very good. We did eat one meal at the El Cid Moro (La Cascada)and it was $50 and it was easily the worst meal we ate the whole time in Mexico. Mazatlan is kinda falling apart but the El Cid Marina is still very nice.

Okay hotel for a few nights. Good for children.

Pros: Close restaurants
This hotel was nothing to write home about. My 8 year old liked it because it has one pool with a cave you can swim into. Also, it was nice to see the boats and there is a shuttle boat that takes you quickly to a nice beach. The furnishings and buildings are somewhat run-down, however and the food quality in the restaurant is mediocre. A better choice for about the same price would be the Mayan Sea Garden. The room is much nice and very quiet. The pools there are beautiful.

Peaceful. Beautiful. Incredible

I stayed here for the first half of my honeymoon with my wife and this was by far the best hotel. The hotel is close enough to town to walk, but far enough away that you avoid all the major traffic. Views are incredible from the hotel balconies. Staff was incredible friendly and helpful. When you stay at any El Cid hotel, you have access to all other El Cid's in the area so we went to the El Cid country Club for massages and facials via the free shuttle that takes you between the resorts. Everything about this hotel was top notch and I will definitely stay here again. The only negative thing I have to say is that the mattresses were a tad hard, and to use the gym you have to go to El Cid Castilla, but who goes to the gym on vacation anyways? ;-) Other than that, I would highly recommend Marina El Cid!!!

Friendliness of staff. Exceed epectations. They arrange everythinig we need and/ or want from Lobster Dinners poolside private dining, fishihg and tours. All ammenities are in process of being upgraded- new linens, bath,furniture, appliances, showers-kitchens ,baths.Upgraded rooms are quality you would expect. We have stayed here every year for over 12 years. Accomodations & staff make it seem like a second home. We stay other locartions, but staff here are truly what makes this place a jem. Smaller to be personal and yet first class. Can't recommend this resort enough.
