The other reviews are true- the walls are literally paper thin. The photos are highly misleading- I had a room with one bed, queen I believe. The room literally just fit the bed with less than a foot on either side and maybe four feet of space in the front to the door. The room had no thermostat, and what appeared to be no heat. First shower the water did not get hot, next two showers steam tripped the smoke alarm which was deafening. The staff was no help- actually the person on the phone was extremely rude. The floor is made of something similar to rusted concrete which leaves crumbles of an unknown kind all over the bed. Cleaning staff was very nice. I do not recommend- definitely not worth it compared to other hotels in the area with the same price point.

Everyone at the hotel was very pleasant. Our housekeeper was very understanding of our needs (2 teens and a dog). My kids asked if we could stay at the same hotel next time we travel to NYC. It is not a luxury hotel but it’s unique pre-war charm, warm atmosphere, and cleanliness made it a great stay.
