Beautiful, accommodating, location was okay not to far away from subway. Beds were deceiving; called them double beds but were more of a twin size. I would stay again.

Loved the gardens, although I was there in the winter - loved some of the common areas. Didn't like having to check-in in the dark. It's very strange coming in with such low lighting and having to check yourself in, thought staff was right there to help. Room was booked for three yet not enough towels for three, so we had to call for towels and bedding for pull out - which had stained mattress and old bedding folded up into it. Staff was quite mortified when they came to help. Half hour later, new mattress was brought to the room. No closet space and very strange bath layout - part of the room was unfinished under the sink space, towel bar fell off, top broken on large dispenser for body wash, seat in shower rusty, heat set at 73 and tech took 20 minutes to reset, said it was done and left, but next day was 73 again - we didn't bother to ask about it again. Very disappointed for over 1000. for 2 night stay. Staff was very friendly and helpful, although when I asked for a third bottle of complimentary water for our room as we were booked for three, I was told we would have to pay for it. Bass and beats from the nightclub were heard long into the night and we were on the fourth floor...wonder what it's like if you're closer to the action. Love the idea of the minimlism but this was a bit much and still at a high cost and attention to detail was sorely lacking.

We were promised a room with a view, there was no view. We were told we’d have access to the rooftop and that changed last minute when a private gig got booked. Our room didn’t look anything like the picture. Disappointed.

I'm not sure which room you were in, but we sell rooms by bed type and the view in relation to the buildings that surround us. Many views in NYC can be somewhat limited, but our Great View rooms provide unobstructed views of the city. It is very rare for us to close the Roof to guests of the hotel, and only do so when we know that all the other food and beverage outlets within the hotel are open and able to accommodate our guests.
