The hotel is perfectly located within walking distance of the main attractions like Times Square, Broadway, and Rockefeller Center and the staff was very helpful. However, the hotel interior leaves a LOT to be desired given the amount they charge per night. We were aware that this was an older hotel, but the elevators were terribly out of date and took forever. There was a roach in our bathroom, the room wallpaper was peeling off in several places, there were ugly water stains on the ceiling, the room temperature couldn't be adjusted bc the room thermometer was broken, one or more of the room lamps and outlets didn't work, the grout around the tub and bathroom floor was dingy and gross and looked like it hadn't been reapplied in years, and housekeeping only brought hand and shower towels, but no face towels, despite asking for them repeatedly. Also, the room phone didn't work and the hallway carpets looked like they hadn't been replaced or deep cleaned since they opened. I definitely wouldn't stay here again unless they made major renovations to the rooms and fixed their elevator issues.

Hotel was very shabby and the elevator quit working. The staff never apologized for us having to walk up and down the stairs. The location was great though, close to everything.

The hotel has not been well maintained for years. I had the opportunity to visit it in 2014 and the truth is that I see that it has completely deteriorated. Lack of paint, dirty, stale smelling carpet, mites, a real disaster. Regardless of this issue, the worst of all was the treatment by the night staff, on 06/29/23 they did not allow me to enter my room, I was unable to enter my room for more than 2 hours, which it was paid in advance. They claimed a problem with the credit card, but in a very rude way they invited me to safely go to the room to collect my things and go to another hotel. (luckily travelocity staff was able to intervene with the hotel and solve the problem) I do not recommend this hotel to anyone, both for its building condition, lack of amenities, and above all for the lack of respect and dislocation of its staff.

Unique was that it is downtown Manhettan,but no excuse to have the hotel room so dirty. The room was not cleaned and towels were not replaced. It seems the rooms allred to Travelocity are the ugliest with no services. The shower stank like the shower curtain was not laundered in ages it smells awful. Just because people use the travel online reservations doesn't mean that we deserve the most awful rooms. I will not use our recommend rnlinerrreservations. Also Travelocity did not mention abutting about parking that was a while big separate bill.

We had to switch rooms because the first room that they put us in had mold on the walls in the bathroom. The room smelled moldy and the air conditioner did not work. The second room was better; however, the wallpaper was peeling off the wall in some places in the room.
