We paid for a superior room with sea view. The room size was great but oh dear. A towel was Placed on the sash window to stop wind howling in. The towel Was damp and smelling. The curtains were stained with dampness. Staining and damp above the window. If this was a superior room. I’d hate to see a standard room. The room had a stour smell. Fan in toilet didn’t work and there was no window. Staff were nice especially boy in the bar. Wouldn’t return here.

Great staff, great views, clientele so-so.
Well the staff were brilliant,very friendly and some great views from the hotel. Unfortunately there was a crowd of people that were very loud and drunk about the hotel at night requiring staff to go to a room due to noise and music and generally poor respect for others during the early hours . Smoking cannabis at the front door was a poor sight when entering the hotel. The car parking needs looked at, the current system ain’t working with people removing your parking cone and parking in your space anyway leaving you without a space when you come back from town. Only BBC channels work on the tv due to poor reception. Very comfy bed but only single pane window so you hear everything outside on the esplanade at night. Breakfast decent so just down to personal preferences on the day. Because it’s quite cheap to stay here you’re gonna get nuggets staying here as well and it’s a lottery who you get next to you but the hotel staff were excellent and the hotel itself is ok, just the clientele .

Beautiful facade. Lacking in drinks and food, nearby local places are good though. Rooms have some cobwebs, some staff was friendly to advise on local places and how to get around. Some were not.
