This was spontaneous booking by my wife. The staff were professional and friendly. The room was what we expected (after turning down the very expensive "Gold Room" upgrade, which I almost took for the breakfasts, if not for the fancier room and view.) We did take the buffet breakfast the fits day: Comparable to better Inn & Suites type breakfast, but not first class. Ie. Eggs Benedict assembled with pre toasted dry half muffins, pre poached eggs and slop of hollandaise on top. (Should have had the omelet.) Bacon looked unappetizingly dark and congealed in it's bin.
In the room, 6175, the heating system has faulty bearings in the fan, so the heating came on every time with a lot of noise. Quieted when it got going, but annoying through the night. We didn't complain of this. However, an inoperable light switch on a bedside light was fixed at our request on the first of our three night stays.
BIG PLUS: Activity offering on Monday of Wine Workshop;:
Front desk didn't mention need to reserve and we didn't read the fine print message, just turned up 15 minutes early as front desk told us. Reported to concierge early but did not offer nor were asked for names. Concierge then came around, well after deadline for check-in in, and found we were not reserved. Fortunately, another couple had not turned up and we took their spot. When we went into the location, we realized why they would need a count. The experience itself was excellent!
