It is an older hotel so the room s are a little smaller than the modern hotels. However it has been very nicely renovated and everything seems up-to-date. I am a construction guy so they did a very nice job. Everything is cleaned. They have bicycles available if you want to ride down to town which is not very far. There is also a hot tub Outdoors. And the staff is wonderful.

We had a peaceful and pleasant stay at Woodland. Our king sized bed was comfortable. The room was spotless. Hot tub was clean and wonderful after a day of hard skiing. We walked from the property into downtown Salida where we enjoyed delicious food and great bars. Convenient location for access to Monarch Mt. We will absolutely stay again.

Hidden gem near downtown. We travel to Salida often and usually just stay at a hotel on route 50. Took a chance in a new place and found our new “go to” when traveling. Clean and well cared for. Family owned. King studio with more than enough space and kitchen to cook our own meals. Little walk to downtown. Clean hot tub. Comfortable bed. Quiet. Just booked another stay for next ski weekend. Bonus points for having good coffee in the rooms!

Solid motel ecperience
A very reasonably priced Motel. It’s clean and comfortable and the staff is very nice. I rode one of the free cruiser bikes around this beautiful town.

Woodland Motel
The room was clean and comfortable. Had all the kitchen things we needed to eat in. The bathroom was nicely upgraded. The only problem we had was that the refrigerator was noisy, so we unplugged it at night.

A Hidden Gem
This was a great little hotel in a quiet part of town. As previous reviews have noted, the hotel itself is a bit older, but clearly cared for and everything in the room was updated and nice. The young lady at the front desk was friendly and attentive, and the personal touches in the room like a live plant and nice coffee added to the overall charm of the place. I would absolutely stay here again.
