We traveled to Tarpon Springs to participate in a Triathlon. When we arrived, we asked for a late checkout since we didn’t expect to be back from the race by the 11:00 AM. checkout time. The desk clerk told us he couldn’t do that and we would have to tell the morning desk clerk. When we left for the race at 5:30 AM, we asked for late checkout again. A very unfriendly desk clerk said he couldn’t do that and we would have to wait until 8:00 to ask the first shift staff. Sorry, if we would be competing at that time, we asked him to make a note and he was very annoyed with us. He said “so basically, you’re telling us, not asking us, for late checkout”. So rude! In addition, the night clerk at check-in told us breakfast wasn’t until 6:00, but there would be “go bags” for us before that time with fruit and water we could pick up at the front desk. When we asked for the bag in the morning, the clerk told us those were only available Monday - Friday. The front desk staff needs some serious training!

This is a wonderful hotel - great breakfast and nice pool. My only complaint is that we left a piece of outgoing mail at the front desk and it never got sent.

Newly renovated and a great location

Pros: The staff, was one of the main things. The breakfast each day had a different hot offering and the location was very close to most places of interest.
Location: Tarpon Springs in the Sponge Capital, and has wonderful Greek Restaurants. Clearwater has beautiful beaches, Duneden has Honeymoon Island(state park
We booked here due to the upcoming Hurricane Mathew and wanted to get away prior to traffic and not being able to find a place if we waited to long. The hotel has recently been renovated and very lovely. They offer a hot breakfast every morning and you can get coffee anytime, day or night, along with some snacks they have for sale near check-in. We kept an eye on the TV with the storm approaching and got very nervous about our stay possibly being to short here. When we checked with the desk on the first night of arrival as to whether we could extend it two extra nights, they told us they were sorry, but it was booked out. However, our clerk Arman, said, "you know we are renovating and they have told us that they may possibly have one or two more rooms done on Friday, or they may get a cancellation, in either case, we were second on the list who was looking to stay extra. The next morning we checked with Arman again and she remembered our room # and said let me check again for you, she found us a room, but we would have to move in the am, we said no problem. Later that evening she called us to say we could stay in our own room, no move. Everyone we came across here, were more than helpful, courteous, and just pleasant. I would definitely stay here again.
