This hotel is charming, unique, clean, quiet. It has nooks for reading a puzzle laid out if you want, sitting areas for visiting, a fireplace, restaurant and bar were very good. I will go out of my way to come this direction every time I come to Texas just to stay here. Wonderful.

The bed/mattress was in need of replacement. Terrible night's sleep after driving 500 miles you expect a comfortable bed and good nights sleep. Will never return. Mentioned bed situation at checkout but no follow up response from management. Slept or attempted to do so in room 227.

Little Gem!
My husband and I love this place--second visit there. The old architecture and decor is so charming. We enjoy sitting by the fireplace on cold nights. Margaritas are generous and dinner was delicious, too. Only downside is the loud train across the street, but would not deter us from staying there again.
