This renovated farmhouse (2020) is nestled back in the foothills of Stokes County with breathtaking views of Cook's wall and all the privacy for a relaxing get-away. The older homestead built in the 1800's still stands on the property. The Lucky House's sister home, Treetop, is next door (yet allowing plenty of privacy between the two homes) and sleeps 8 if you need more room for your guests. This 3 bedroom/2 bathroom home sleeps 6 and is just minutes from all that Stokes County has to offer including Hanging Rock State Park, Moore Springs Manor, and historic Danbury. Explore the outdoors with hikes to the waterfalls, tube the Dan River, rock climbing and much more!
Pilot Mountain State Park is also just a short drive away. Wi-Fi streams all you need on a large smart TV in the living area. Nice Stay
My family of four (kids 8 &10 and dog ) had a very relaxing stay at this home. It was situated in a quiet and beautiful area. The home is just as pictured and very clean. The beds were comfortable and the bedding was nice. The home had everything you need for a great stay. We used the fire pit one night and it came with wood and starter logs. We would definitely come and stay here again. There is a Food Lion nearby and a Mexican restaurant that was very good named Linda Vista. Hanging Rock Park is very close by and was very cool. We hiked several trails and visited Mt. Airy.

Family Time
What a perfect weekend. The property was beautiful. Super clean. All the personal touches to make you feel like you were in your own home. Highly recommend and our family will most definitely book another stay. The scenic views were breathtaking. Super location. Far enough away to enjoy the quiet knowing a short 15 minute drive puts you near great restaurants a grocery store, and gas stations.

The setting of this lovely home is amazing with a view that takes you away and the home is just as described with much attention to detail. It felt even larger than expected with everything you need. We came for hiking and found the location great for Hanging Rock and Pilot Mountain. The host was so helpful and communicative making the stay just as we hoped for! We hope to come back.

Girls weekend
The property was very clean and had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable! The host family was very gracious leaving us a hand written welcome note and snacks upon arrival. The home offered such a peaceful setting for 5 friends to come together and catch up. It would also be a great location for a family as there is room to run around and explore outside the home. I would highly recommend this home for your next vacation!

Inviting Stay
This home was extremely inviting and cozy. We went with friends for a weekend in February and it was the perfect home to come back to after a day of chilly hiking. Clean, accomodating, and attention to detail throughout the whole home all while having one of the greatest views and tucked away in the woods without any close neighbors. The hosts even left a gift basket with snacks. Thank you!

Beautiful location, amazing property
We have stayed at many vrbos (and similar!) over the years and this was hands down the nicest property and home we've ever stayed in. Yes, the photos in the listing are great, but once you park and cross the threshold into the farmhouse, you realize you are staying somewhere special. The home was perfect for our family of 5 adults and 2 doggos. We prepared meals in the well-stocked kitchen and enjoyed using the gas grill and fire pit. The location, of course, is super convenient to Hanging Rock and Pilot Mtn State Parks. This was our first time in the Sauratown Mountain area and it's a nice change from the more commercialized towns of Asheville, Boone, etc. The host was amazing and even offered us a late checkout, which we took full advantage of. The farmhouse makes you want to linger and enjoy each other's company and surroundings. We had a peaceful, memorable and fun long weekend and would love to return!

Beautiful and Secluded
I enjoyed my stay at the property especially since it's at a dead end and has lots of privacy. You can see the mountains from the front porch. The only thing I wished for was a smart TV in the bedroom but the one in the living room was good. Overall, 5 stars!

This property was just as advertised. Its location allowed us to have an extended Thanksgiving family celebration at my daughters near by. Placed in such a beautiful spot one cannot help but relax and enjoy the moment.

Lovely Vacation Spot
This house was perfect for a weekend getaway at the end of autumn. It is near Hanging Rock State Park and a quick drive from Pilot Mountain and JoLo Winery. The house is exactly as advertised and the property has stunning views. The owners included so many special and thoughtful touches.
