The front door was locked to the hotel. Their instructions didn’t work. I had to wait for someone to exit before I could go in. Burn marks on the blanket, which reeked of cigaretttes in a non smoking room. Burn marks on the dirty carpet. Filthy coffee maker. One worn out towel in the bathroom. Entry door to room extremely hard to close. Phone number to call manager “not in service”. If it hadn’t pre-paid, I would have cancelled and slept in the car.

My husband and I stayed here while having work done on our house. We had to extend our stay another day. There was no problem with that; but the front desk staff kept calling for me to bring my credit card to the desk while I was trying to get dressed. The handyman/housekeeper yelled at me when I answered the door. It is disappointing, because I like the hotel and the room. It's a good value.

Staff was SUPER friendly however it was not the cleanest hotel room I ever stayed in. The common areas were very neat & clean, however, the room has dust, hair, stains on the linens and overall "not been cleaned" feel :(

The quality was there but it was bad!

Pros: Phyllis, who worked the front desk at night, was very helpful,
Cons: Management and the franchise owner could do more the meet the expectations one has from the word "Quality" in the name of Quality Inn!!!!!!!!!!!
Location: Location was acceptable, normal fast food restaurants near by, difficult to maneuver a vehicle to go into Winston-Salem.
First room was unacceptable. Toilet ran continuously, hair in tub drain, ants on door, numbers missing from room telephone, and safe was locked. Second room was acceptable at first. Then came the night,,,one wall lamp came on four (4) times for no known reason, when running, the air conditioner compressor sounded like a Harley Davidson motorcycle at idle, had to hold the handle down on the toilet to get it to completely flush, and the safe was locked, The night light near the sink had to be blocked because it reflected off the mirror onto the bed. The next morning figured could unplug the wall lamp that periodically came on for no reason. With the free breakfast one gets what they pay for --- in one word BAD. Had bad internet connection had to get help two different days to get a connection

clean but small

Pros: Good price, and clean.
Cons: Updated Iron and Ironing board, Tv remotes, and desk chair.
Location: Plenty of restaurants around the Motel and some even walking distances. Walmart express not too far from the Motel either.
The room was a King but it was so small. But the staff were nice. The room was clean, tidy. The desk chair was broken. I was afraid for either of us to sit in it, but the room did have a nice comfortable LR chair to sit in. The TV remote didn't work and there was no Iron in the closet with the Ironing board. The Ironing Board was broke also. The Bathroom was nice and clean. Didn't leave enough towels forr night and morning showers. But over all it was a nice place to stay. If we ever in the area again we will stay there.

The Worst Hotel...EVER!

Pros: Can't think of a thing.
Cons: Almost everything.
Location: Don't know.
I was so excited about traveling to NC to play at a festival with my band from long ago. Reservations were made more than a week in advance and I was assured that I would be afforded an accessible room which had a bench in the shower and a roll-away bed for a buddy I was traveling with. To insure these things were done, my wife called the hotel the morning we left and was told everything was ready for us. We arrived at 1am (10 hours after our room was supposed to be ready) and nothing was as promised. There was no bench in the shower and there was no roll-away in the room. There was, however, an ottoman and a chair that I kept requesting be removed because of the smallness of the room but the gentleman who was sent to help us said he couldn't do that. Finally, I was brought a conference room chair to put in the bathtub that I could sit on while showering. The roll-away which we eventually received was a piece of junk. We requested extra towels which they promised to bring but never did. PLEASE, anyone who is thinking about making reservations at this hotel...DON'T! The management here needs to be reminded of the "Americans with Disabilities Act" because they do NOT have adequate facilities for the handicapped.

OK for the money

Pros: The price.
Cons: Over all upkeep of grounds and rooms, training staff in courtesy, they also need some major computer upgrades to improve check-in time.
Location: Everything you could need in the way of chain stores, grocery, office supply, movies etc. Close to downtown
For the price that we were able to get this hotel room for- it was fine. But we definitely wouldn't come back. Check in took a very very long time with long lines. The staff that night were decently friendly. the next day when we needed to use the "business computer" in the lobby to print a speech for a wedding- the computer didn't work and the staff member was very unhelpful and at times just rude- answering the phone as I was in the middle of asking a question. Ultimately- she sent us up the road to Staples for our printing needs. Overall- I've seen better Quality Inn's - just not great upkeep over all.

Not bad for one night

Other than the moldy bathroom ceiling and musty smell, this was just right for a one night stay as we were traveling to our destination. Great location with lots of shopping, dining and entertainment nearby. Breakfast was what you'd expect, beds were average and room was comfortable for a quick stay.

Clean, cheap and nice location. A real find.

Pros: Close restaurants, Free Internet, Quiet
I needed a last minute hotel room near the Wake Forest campus. This hotel was much cheaper than the others that I found. I booked it, and didn't expect much for the price. However, the hotel was great. It was easy to get to, being right off the highway. The location was safe, and relatively quiet. The staff was friendly and got me checked in quickly. They informed me at check in that there was a potential problem with the cable television, and let me know I could change my room if there was a problem (there turned out not to be a problem anyway). The room is older, but it's in good shape. It was clean and the sheets and bed were very comfortable. The furniture was nice and clean too. Overall, it was a great deal. I would definitely stay there again.

Completely met our needs! Will be back text year!! Please read full review.

Pros: Free breakfast, Close restaurants, Free Internet, Quiet, comfortable, safe
After reading the other reviews I had significant concerns, but I had already paid for my room. My two sons and I needed a place to stay for 6 nights. We needed safe, comfortable, and easy to get to Wake Forest and to Sawtooth. The staff was courteous and helpful. The breakfast was great for each family member. The rooms were comfortable, though small. We had a small fridge and microwave. We had two comfortable beds and a small cafe table. We were remained comfortable all 6 nights. I was able to work in the room without disruption while the kids were at there camps. Plus we stayed under our desired budget so we Wolfies custard after dinner! Note: This is not a luxury hotel, but an excellent alternative when you need a safe, comfortable place for you and kids to rest your head (and work without distraction).
