Overall, it was the perfect size and right amenities for our sibling birthday getaway. I couldn’t stay there again though. We picked this place because it had enough room for the 5 of us, pool table, ping pong table, hot tub, and was SUPER close to hiking. All of that we loved and was accurate. The location felt sketchy, with the motel in front of it and what seemed to be an empty trailer that is/was converted to rentals. It ended up being fine, just not what we expected. The house was hard to breathe in at first. It was over powered by air fresheners, and hard to air out because the windows did not have screens. The little chocolates at the entrance table even tasted like the air freshener. The first two knives were pulled out to cut up did for dinner were dirty, so we washed everything before using it. My socks were also very dirty from walking on the floors the first night. I’m not sure what the water system there is, but something was definitely wrong in the main bathroom. The water or the sink smelled terrible when I would run the water to wash my hands. There was also a yellow stain in the sink that kept getting bigger and more yellow over the 3 days we were there.
After airing the place out and picking up some disposable plates, cups, and utensils, the rest of the visit was great. We loved the hot tub, the patio, and the HUGE couch for movies. We really loved getting to play pool and ping pong too. Being that close to the park with trails was really cool too!
